I really wasn’t prepared for cold and snow and blowing. I worked to get my trails scooped so I could put out feed pans and haul hay and water.
Thankfully, my nephew brought his backhoe out and did my driveway.
It was quite a shock for the animals as well. Those huge temperature swings are hard on them.
And Gabe was gaining weight and his hair had just started growing back in. But, I have a heat lamp in there for him and put the food in the building, and I am keeping a close eye on him to see if I need to move him back to the Morton building.
I did shut the door and turn the heat lamp on for Wanda also. She doesn’t have someone to snuggle with in there.
I wish Ava would be nice and share food with her mom, but that’s not going to happen.
And Wanda would pick on Antigone. She would be my first choice to put in with Wanda because when I came home on Thursday in the sleet, Antigone was outside. So I moved her into the buck room. She’s by herself also.
Anyhow, I got my paths cleared and everyone is getting food and I’m keeping an eye on everyone. And it’s supposed to slowly warm up to above average temperatures by mid-week. I’m not sure that’s what I wanted either.
