Well, we are no longer brown. The drop in temperatures had been in the forecast for a while. It was coming with a front that was going to give us some rain and wraparound snow. But with the really warm temperatures we’ve had, it wasn’t really expected to last in my area. Until they changed it into a winter storm warning and 6 – 9 inches of snow.
It was really sleet by the time I got home on Thursday, but it didn’t take long to finish turning into snow.
In the middle of the night, the winds picked up and really started howling. By the time I got up Friday morning, it was crazy drifted.
Luckily, I had remembered to plug all of my water heaters back in. Otherwise, they would have been giant ice cubes.
Everyone was all huddled inside.
My nephew estimated us at about 9 inches. And now it’s cold, everything is white, and I’m back to full chores.
