17th-Aug-2012 12:11 am - that's a great antecdote
Boys: Jeremy Renner: what a dumb face
the blah bits:
1. my dog ate something icky and threw up all over the house today. yippee.
2. my father got bleach on one of my shirts and while I do not have many clothes, the loss of one shirt is a pretty big deal right now.
3. I failed at technology today.
4. I also didn't write anything but a few emails. I plotted out my Bruce/Tony for angelnetgirl and I'm pretty sure it will be Bruce/Tony/Pepper when I'm done. And I contemplated my Darcy fic and also signing up for Avengersfest because, why not? You know. I finished my RBB and Tabby fixed all my comma problems and it's pretty great even if I do say so, so I don't feel overly horrible not writing anything, but eh. I really did want to get something done today.
5. everything was going slowly and strangely and nothing quite fit together. It's just one of those moods and hard to identify or put into real words.

the okay bits:
1. my mother bought me cream soda at walmart.
2. my sister came to see me. and we're going to switch phones on Saturday and I'm going to give her my old one and give Tabby the extra one. (Sorry it's taking this long, darling. My other sister had to go and get an iphone ((that she can't pay for)) and these are the results.)
3. I got new bras today. Two of the three fit very well. I'm glad to have them. It was weird too, because while wearing it, I thought maybe I hadn't gotten properly dressed because nothing pulled, pinched or bunched. in addition to bras, I got cupcake pajama pants and new underwear of all colors and patterns. my favorite are the blue and white zebra print. what up.
4. gisforgreen wrote me the best story in the world today. It's mpreg if that bothers you, otherwise go read it because it's awesome.
5. I'm going to finally get to watch a movie on Saturday. And I just do not know which movie I want to see. The Bourne Legacy? Spider-Man? THE CHOICES. Except how I'm pretty sure I'm going to see Jeremy Renner. first. always.

Movie: Avengers: Hawkeye: creepin
1. Shave my head. picture of meCollapse )

2. Buy a Hawkeye bobble head doll and carry it in my handbag and bobble it at people.

3. Fast forward all remaining Supernatural episodes so that it's the Bobby and Crowley Power Hour.

Movie: HTTYD: Toothless: Hide and seek
1. First up, thanks, y'all for all the kind words on my last post. I don't know if I'll be able to get around to replying to those comments. But I love you all for thinking of me so sincerely. ♥

2. Last week was chock full of movies for me and my little ones (and my sister yesterday).
Wednesday my mom and I watched Midnight in Paris.

Thursday night, I spent the night with them and we watched Meet the Robinsons which never fails to make me weep uncontrollably at the end. I'm glad they had fallen asleep before that happened.

Then Friday, we watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Prince of Persia, How To Train Your Dragon, Gnomeo and Juliet, and Monsters, Inc.

Saturday, we watched X-Men: First Class.

Yesterday, my sister and I watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Ghost Protocol, and Midnight in Paris again.

Whew.

movie thoughtsCollapse )

3. Today we were supposed to go find my sister a new tire for her car, but she is tucked up in bed with a sinus migraine. I'm about to take the dog out and forage for food alone, then.

We spent most of Saturday driving around finding someone that has a tire to fit her car. No such luck. Most places were closed.

I spent too long in the car with my parents. omg. They are like six year olds. My niece is more mature than them. Also, my dad can't drive well anymore and he insists on driving and it makes me sick and a bit crazy to ride in the backseat.

We went shopping for Mama a funeral appropriate outfit. Ended up with a dress and ridiculously expensive shoes, but eh. She looks pretty. My niece also got shoes: glow in the dark, zebra print Chucks. Yeah, it's a thing.

4. My parents are going up Wednesday for my grandmother's friend's funeral. I am to go tomorrow so I can be there when Mema wakes up Wednesday.

It's okay for me to stay there because Mema has moved back in time to when I was a teenager and I moved to our town to live with her so I could start my freshman year of high school on time and not have to switch schools.

5. In my life, I've lived with Mema three separate times, not counting when I'd stay with her for summers. She remembers that, me living with her. And she doesn't understand why I leave. She knows it's her house, but it looks so different now that she's lost most of the time.

I'm waiting for her to ask me about school or why I'm not riding a bus.

We used to walk all the way down the long driveway and wait at the road for the bus, then Mema would take off up the road to walk with her friends. She would be waiting for me when I got off the bus and we would have sherbet and nilla wafers, or peanut butter crackers and coke for a snack before we cooked dinner, did homework/sewing, watched tv and laid out our clothes for the next day.

I've been an old lady for a very long time.

6. In doing all this other stuff, I missed having lunch with Tana on Friday. My parents went to Sam's, but they weren't leaving early enough and if we were all going back on Saturday, there wasn't a need for an extra trip in the rain just for us to have lunch. Except that I should have made the effort because Tana got her feelings hurt.

She texted me about how she made friends with an old lady in the chiropractor's office, and if you knew Tana, you'd know that was unlikely. Old people freak her out.

Which is odd, considering she's friends with me.

I have to find a way to get over to her house and bring her a Starbucks coffee sometime this week.

7. I had two strange dreams last night. One: my mom missed her first day of work and I had to go over and figure out what was up. She had basically become a hoarder, and I was grossed out, and found Seth Green in her tub.

Her house was my one college ex-boyfriend's apartment with the spirally staircase and palm tree decorations.

Then I went to work for her and ended up becoming a lounge singer. I think I watched too much Psych.

Two: Clark Gregg was playing Emma Stone's dad in a movie that I was in somehow and we were all on Saturday Night Live. Jorma had written me a bit and didn't like what I was doing with it and made Seth Myers be me while I was Bill Hader and Hader was Stefon being Seth.

Then we went out for sushi and Clark Gregg dropped an octopus in my lap.

Yeah. I think I shouldn't have eaten that Poptart before bed.

Misc: rainbow cupcake
-more bad stuffCollapse )

-Some things that are good: Finally found Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy on DVD. and we also bought Ghost Protocol. What. We also found Practical Magic for $5! Yay DVDs!

-There are some days when my sister and I don't get along. Usually those are the days when one or both of us feel awful, she's worked too much and/or slept too little, I can't stand to be around people and get itchy under my skin when I'm forced to interact with them (this usually excludes my sister, but sometimes), or we've spent too much time together. Recently, we've been doing pretty great. We're managing money together, cooking things, talking about adult sorts of things and generally being friends as well as roommates and sisters. I like these days.

-I have new friends that I'm very excited about. :D I don't have an intro post or anything, but I can tell you anything you might want to know about me. I'll do a rundown.

rundownCollapse )

I think that's it for now.

-After this episode, I think I'm going to scrub this lipstick off my face, eat my fortune cookie, brush my teeth, and read Simon Pegg's book. Or watch Stardust. I'm undecided.
Misc: rainbow cupcake

I really don't have much to say. just feel like typing something and since I'm on my phone and halfway to blind, I'll make a list.

-we watched all of How I Met Your Mother that's on Netflix. I've seen a few episodes of the current season, but I feel caught up at least. we are always a season behind on things.

-I bought Jamie seasons one and two of The Big Bang Theory and we're almost through that. Raj remains my favorite.

-I can't find the 2009 Romola Garai version of Emma anywhere for download. I watched the other two versions, and I've seen that one before and it is my favorite. I watched Sense and Sensibility Friday, but was interrupted by my mother before I could watch Pride and Prejudice or Mansfield Park. I like having a Jane Austen day of it, you know.

-I must attend a birthday party for Tana's daughter later today. well I should be showered and getting ready to leave in thirty minutes but here I am. we did buy her a lovely bath gels set that came in a cute bag. and there will be cupcakes.

-I keep forgetting that it's cold outside. I'm not sure how, but I am constantly surprised by it. I should leave the house more. maybe Tabby and I can run away somewhere it's mild all the time. more light cardigans for me.

22nd-Nov-2011 03:17 pm - i had three stories i forgot to tell
Boys: JEisenberg:even his bad day's cute
1. While Thanksgiving shopping, this guy was peddling free samples of yogurt. I didn't want them but he wanted to chat and he was a nice old man, so I chatted him up while my sister got butter. Then he told me that I needed to try the crackers at the next station because they tasted like bacon. I asked him if they had bacon in them because I am allergic to pork (not really, but it's easier to explain than what really happens when I eat pork), and he said, "I don't think so. Just eat it and if you fall out, I'll tell them why you fell out." And he laughed for five minutes.

I love old people.

2. The dog has destroyed our blinds. DESTROYED. Because he likes to look outside. But we don't have anything to look at. The windows in the living room look out onto the patio.

He is convinced though, that every time he goes to the side door, something new will be there. It's funny and sad to watch him walk away so disappointed that it's still just leaves and boxes. Poor, sad puppy.

I have pictures of the blinds. It's ridiculous. We have to go buy more and make sure that the apartment people are okay with it.

3. I had a dream the other day that Mema stole my car and was driving it around outside the Houston HOB. Nick Jonas was there but not to play and he was trying to get my car away from Mema because she was doing donuts on the stage.

The Used were playing, which makes sense since I saw them in Houston, and we were sitting on a picnic table watching my grandmother and a Jonas play at bullfighting and drinking and laughing.

Then Bobby Singer bought me a new car and we left. Fun times.

17th-Jun-2011 12:28 pm - A LIST, IF YOU WILL
Misc: rainbow cupcake
1. AN OPEN LETTER TO ONE MR. ANDREW GARFIELD:
Dear Sir-
Shut the fuck up, Andrew fucking Garfield, with your stupid fucking face. I don't know what to do with any of this, and I do not appreciate it.
Sincerely-
Stevie

2. I had a dream last night that Rose, Ten, Nine, and I were probably somewhere in Newnewnewnewnewnew York underground and getting chased by cuttlefish-looking facehugger alien things. It was too much sci-fi and not enough hand holding and I remember at one point when everything was very tin-building-y, looking around and thinking 'Why the fuck are there two Doctors?'

But it's a dream, of course. And I distinctly remember it being Rose because she was wearing her Cassandra outfit and I wanted to punch her. She must have insulted my sneakers.

3. I possibly just negotiated the return of Tana to the position of my office assistant. I want to cry fat, ugly tears at this. Especially since I miss her something crazy and yesterday I got into trouble. Like serious, your-job-is-in-jeopardy-wtf-is-wrong-with-you trouble. But my boss actually stood up for me for once and let everyone know that I AM DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN BEING THE ONLY PERSON HERE ON ANY GIVEN DAY OMFG STFD. Sorry. I'm overwhelmed.

4. I'm wearing a tie and sweatervest today. I either look like your nerdy cousin Carl or a waiter at a restaurant I've been to recently or you know SERIOUSLY AWESOME because I am.

5. A serious note: Every single person in my family has gone or is going to the doctor this week or next. I'm slightly disturbed by this alarming trend and wish it to stop at once. My dad has a weird cyst thing on his face and has to have a biopsy, my nephew has to have shots, my niece is getting headaches, I'm just flat out crazy, Mema is old, my sister thinks she's having early onset menopause or something. Fun times, yo.

6. There is no six. Well unless everyone wants to join me in singing 'I Just Had Sex' as it seems to be the only song I can remember all the words to currently.

good things:
+Watched Doctor Who. Fun stuff that. Hopefully I can fix my DVD player so it will actually play things plugged into the USB and not shut off, so I can watch it again. on my TV. Blargh. But Doctor Who! Amy Pond! River Song!

+Ate some Rocky Road ice cream my sister bought me where the middle was all marshmallowy and mushy.

+My hair still looks good today and even better in the sun.

+Went to my parents' and had a productive day of nothing doing.

+Got a book in the mail. One that I got on momebie's suggestion, and I can't wait to start it.

+Watched lots and lots of Craig Ferguson on youtube.

bad things:
-Our A/C went out and I had a horrible night sleep last night. They didn't fix it until about 11:00 today.

-While fixing it, they felt the need to go out onto our balcony which meant the stupid maintenance fucker stepped on my sofa with his big stupid shoes. I am so very unhappy with the general state of my apartment management currently that this is not a surprise. They are so disrespectful of me and my sister and are finding new and stupid ways to fine us.

-When I went to the kitchen earlier to get my ice cream, I saw that I still had water in my cereal bowl from earlier, so I went to pour it out. As I did that, a roach out of fucking nowhere! I tried to drown the damn thing with the water, but I didn't really have enough hands to do that or to contain it, until I did get it stuck in the drain and overturned the bowl over it. I haven't gone back to check is it still there. I hope it just went down the drain to live in the sewer with it's other roach friends.

-I want to go to bed forever, but I'll miss all the things.
