He's not allowed to go alone anymore because his condition and meds change so rapidly and he's horrible at remembering half of what's said. It was mostly good news. He can possibly get off the steroid within the year. That's good to hear.<br \/><br \/>Then we bought a tv from Best Buy. Well, Daddy bought a tv. I watched Iron Man 2 until it was time to leave.<br \/><br \/>I also ate all the sushi ever at lunch. And also convinced my family to go to IHOP for supper. yum Belgian waffles nom nom.<br \/><br \/>Then I painted my nails black and sparkly. Whee.<br \/><br \/>I'm about to go to bed because I'm so tired. There are too many people here and I'll be glad when the floors are finished. Daddy wants to go to Lowe's tomorrow and buy paint and I just need a breather. yikes. They are going to finish our bathrooms Friday. We are down to one bathroom right now and it sucks. Hopefully the plumber shows up tomorrow.<br \/><br \/>And then we can start putting everything back together because I'm tired of eating out of the one side of the kitchen and sitting all in my dad's room and watching his currently janky tv. Then I can start to unfuck my room and get all my clothes into the dresser. And maybe bathe my dog and bring him back in the house. I miss him.<br \/><br \/>Things are in too much disarray for me to be comfortable.<br \/><br \/>yesterday: I got new glasses. My mom hates them. I told her to quit looking at me.<br \/><br \/>I don't know what's happened in between yesterday and last Sunday.<br \/><br \/>sunday: I slept almost the entire day because I had the worst migraine and hated life and sunshine.<br \/><br \/>saturday: I went shopping with my sister and my niece. We spent allll day buying so much shit omg. I got a cute shirt, a white and black polkadot cardigan, two pairs of sneakers (Nike and Saucony), my mom bought me an Avs shirt, got a hair straightener two pairs of sunglasses, a new wallet, a fancy fake diamond ring.<br \/><br \/>I also went to church with my sister that night. It was a weird experience, but my niece asked and there was free food so.<br \/><br \/>friday: I went to town by myself because I had been stuck in this house. I went to Starbucks twice, got some good lunch, bought a doozie cookie and a Polo shirt, and just drove around. I don't know how we are related honestly.<br \/><br \/>then I came home to find that my dad sold some land and got some money and now we are redoing the house. again. mom got a sectional for our room and can lights and it's great. and daddy decided to get the floors redone and that's shit and paint. and that's shit.<br \/><br \/>because the floors are inconvenient and I have to do the painting. :(<br \/><br \/>my sister went to college. she moved into her dorm and everything and left me here with our parents and her psycho dog.<br \/><br \/>well maybe he's not that crazy. he's just lonely now. poor bb. <br \/><br \/>my other sister enrolled her children in online public school. I'm kind of over it. I'm her best friend when it's convenient? or when she needs some sort of free armchair psychiatrist help? or she's bored? I'm not here for that. we've been friends for six years and this is the first time I've felt like she's deliberately cutting me out of things.<br \/><br \/>I've had polish on my nails consistently for three weeks. they are now getting too long for me to function. as a compulsive nail biter, the fact that some of them have grown over the tips of my fingers is weird.<br \/><br \/>let's see. I got new glasses. I got snapchat. I got tickets to a Blackhawks game. I got vertigo. (which sucks hardcore.) I got new dresses. I got a dell tablet. I got my room back. I got a cake because I wanted a white cake and I looked cute and decided it was my 'because I'm fucking awesome' cake. I got Generation Kill on DVD. I got a snowcone today.<br \/><br \/>I still haven't seen the new Star Trek. But I did get to see Pacific Rim. so there's that.<br \/><br \/>I'm getting my hair colored on Friday. and my mom let me order purple cheetah print leggings.<br \/><br \/>I could do the rundown of all the places I am? (i can't pronounce it. also do not click that if you have a problem with eyes.) and thursday night and subsequently yesterday morning, he was unable to talk because his tongue was swollen and then starting having trouble swallowing so he called in to work and called his neurologist. they told him to go to the ER immediately, so they did. then they admitted him because if he was going to be on the steroid, he'd have to be monitored. his neurologist came by last night while my sister and i were there and told us that he'd ordered a CAT scan to rule out him having a tumor and that he was upping all his meds and continuing the prednisone.<br \/><br \/>this afternoon while my other sister and i were visiting and taking them new clothes and whatnot, they came back and said that the results of the CAT scan were that he had a blood clot in his lung but no tumor. then he had an ultrasound on his legs so they could see if the muscle problem and swelling he was having was what threw the clot. and it was.<br \/><br \/>so now he's also on a blood thinner that he has to be monitored for and it's taken precedence over his other stuff.<br \/><br \/>we don't know when he'll be home.<br \/><br \/>he's basically had this MG since he started radiation and we only caught it and had a neurologist check him out because his eye was basically non-functioning and he was having migraines.<br \/><br \/>ugh.<br \/><br \/>so jamie and i are taking care of mema by ourselves and she won't sleep and we are having the worst time dealing with her.<br \/><br \/>and it's only day two of the hospital visit. yeesh.<br \/><br \/>also, tomorrow is daddy's birthday. so we bought some funny cards and a cupcake and are going to take it up there to him tomorrow.<br \/><br \/>we aren't having a great time but it could be worse, i guess. he could be incapacitated by the muscle problem. he could have died from the blood clot if they hadn't found it incidentally on his CAT scan. <br \/><br \/>so that's where we are. back and forth to the hospital in the next big town over, my mom spending the night there with my dad because he has the memory of a goldfish and can't really do much himself, and me and jamie watching mema and basically having the worst time of it since she won't listen to either of us or even sleep.<br \/><br \/>ugh again.<br \/><br \/>and my mom called my sister just now and basically said all the wrong things and now i'm super pissed off. i can't even deal.<br \/><br \/>i'm going to watch the hockey game and pretend that my entire life isn't being determined by other people and that things don't suck.<br \/><br \/>yay.<br \/><br \/>Also posted at <a href=\"http:\/\/stevie.dreamwidth.org\/1551966.html\" target=\"_blank\">Dreamwidth<\/a>. I also don't really make goals. The fewer goals I set out to achieve, the more I actually get around to doing things and thus surpassing what would have been a goal anyway.<br \/><br \/>2013 isn't really going to be the year that I get my shit together anyway. It's an odd number, my birthday is going to land me at an age that is numerically displeasing to me, and I don't feel the needs to start changing myself. On further inspection, I never feel that need. So. Yeah.<br \/><br \/>I am going to find a job because, well job. That's the only thing that NEEDS to happen. ALL CAPS. NEEDS.<br \/><br \/>I think I'll coast along until 2014 and see how well I do with this year. I didn't do so bad last year. You can get a new plane, a new plan of attack for Hulks.\"<br \/><br \/>He laughed, didn't move his head off the back of the couch. \"I don't ever want to do that again.\"<br \/><br \/>\"I met Tony Stark today.\" He squeezed his eyes shut and then opened them wide to see the dots on the ceiling. It reminded his what was real, and right underneath him.<br \/><br \/>\"Did you swoon? I know you were planning on that if Hill wasn't around.\"<br \/><br \/>He huffed out a laugh and got jostled by an elbow.<br \/><br \/>\"Well.\"<br \/><br \/>\"Well what? And the other night was my least favorite Riley episode (where they have sex forever and there's a creepy old lady) and my most\/least favorite Willow\/Oz episode. :( :( Oz left. Again. Because he wanted Willow to be happy.<br \/><br \/>Also, the Jonathan episode was on. I love that one, but it meant that I missed the Buffy\/Faith body-switching nastiness. I love those episodes. :\/<br \/><br \/>Castle: It's a marathon today. I've never seen Castle. And somehow I got my timezones mixed up and missed the first episode. Blah. Then we had to pause for a series of telephone calls, but we're in the middle of our second episode now. Beckett is wearing an amazing red dress. She should always wear it. Or red.<br \/><br \/>I watched Doctor Who, Go On, 2 Broke Girls, HIMYM, New Girl, the Mindy Project, Partners, Warehouse 13, Haven and a shit ton of Adventure Time.<br \/><br \/><br \/>I don't know how I feel about Doctor Who right now. I just don't. It feels disconnected and not fully finished somehow. I would watch sixteen thousand hours of the Ponds adjusting to real life and making commitments. I so would. But like, this weekend they go to New York and we lose the Ponds? Is that why we get to see them at home first? Don't we already love them?<br \/><br \/>I feel like the Doctor is getting crazier and more ruthless like he does right before he dies and shows up with a new face. I don't know if that's what's happening but eh.<br \/><br \/>And I just am not a fan of Moffat. Everything is so messy and predictable and blah. I miss Nine. And the Brig. And one or two episode arcs instead of entire-season, overreaching ones.<br \/><br \/>Go On isn't getting much better, but I love John Cho and that lesbian lady? I forget her name. I probably won't watch much more and find John Cho gifs on tumblr? Eh.<br \/><br \/>I've never seen 2 Broke Girls before but this was an okay episode. The Zooey-Katie-Love jokes were funny and Kat Dennings is super hot. Beyond that? I don't think it's a show I want to continue watching. It feels like there isn't much substance just a lot of pop culture jokes. I don't know.<br \/><br \/>I haven't watched much HIMYM recently. I got tired of it and everyone but Marshall and Lily. I think I'm still in that state. I don't like the cupcake girl that Ted's dated before. I don't care for Quinn or Barney much either.<br \/><br \/>I want them to find Ted a wife and wrap this shit up already.<br \/><br \/>New Girl was hilarious. There needs to be more Winston. Seriously all the Winston. I'm not sure why Parker Posey was a guest star person, but she still looks amazing and I still love her the most. My sister has decided that I don't like Jess much because it's basically me. But she's wrong on one front: Jess is skinny. So that makes her quirkiness adorable and bangable and it makes me just weird. BLAH, SISTER.<br \/><br \/>Partners was a hot mess. It's like they threw in every gay, Jewish, commitment-phobe joke they could. I want to like it because Sophia Bush is hot sauce and David Krumholtz is delicious on television but eh. I wonder if they were trying to hook everyone in in 30 minutes? I don't think it worked, I think it smothered the show. I really did want to like it.<br \/><br \/>I also wanted to like the Mindy Project. Bill Hader and Ed whatsit are the ideal men. It's great. But. It's not something I'm going to be able to watch that much of. And I say that as someone that read Mindy's book. It seemed like the more they tried to make it 'Her Year' or whatever, they made it more shallow. I usually cannot stand people like that. And I still don't understand why the one guy told her she needed to lose weight and why she took it so badly. I guess because women are supposed to be sensitive about their weight regardless of their sizes and it's ALWAYS going to be something a guy can pick to death and bring her down giant notches?<br \/><br \/>It bothers me. And I read two of the books before I got supremely bored and had to give up partway through the second and force myself to finish it because it was before zoloft and when I had to finish everything I started, literature-wise.<br \/><br \/>I was trying to remember if I saw the first one in theatres. I believe I did but I can't remember with who or where. I saw the second with my ex and remember being so angry with him for arriving late that we had to sit down and to the right and I got sick after the Karl Urban car chase because the shaky cam on that one was ridiculous. I spent a lot of my time angry with my ex for never being on time to anything. The one time I needed him to be on time, he was an hour late and embarrassed me in front of my family. Oh hey, my boyfriend is on the way, no really he's coming, seriously I DO have a boyfriend. BLAH.<br \/><br \/>Anyway! I'm not a fan of Matt Damon. The only time I like him is when he is Jason Bourne or on 30 Rock. So the fact that Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz were in it makes it that much better for me.<br \/><br \/>I love spy movies and action movies. And I came away from this one thinking that it was much more like the books and I'm glad they made it into a movie so I didn't have to continue to read the books.<br \/><br \/>I think the same thing about the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I will not be reading the rest of those books but will watch the movies they make out of them. I had a hard enough time getting through the first one.<br \/><br \/>I can't tell if books aren't appealing to me anymore for whatever reason or just those sorts of books and I need to back off to a different, less intelligent sort of book so I can get back into things.<br \/><br \/>Eh.<br \/><br \/>My sister and I also switched phones.
