Artwork for 'Fae-tal Attraction'

Special mention to my dear friend theatregirl7299 for exchanging a few ideas with me when I was struggling with what prompt should I come up with for Reverse Bang. Thank you so much for suggesting I go for something different this time.

1. The Cover

The idea behind using two beds was that they represent Sam and Dean. The red string that is heart shaped and connects the two beds represents the complicated requited unrequited love between the brothers. And the table in between full of rose and gifts stand for the gifts that a fae is leaving behind for Sam which ultimately leads to the build up of this case fic. The little glitch effect represents the meddling of the fae and the touch of magic and Dean's confusion fueled by jealousy. that is in the story. I created this using the tools available on 'Photo Director'.

2. The Original Prompt:

The scene was my original prompt for Wincest Reversebang 2022, the one which theatregirl7299 helped me with. Dean can be seen sitting on the chair in the motel room, with a confused and angry or shocked expression on his face staring blankly at the small gift wrapped with a bow and a small note left behind on the bed that reads 'Smile :) Sam. You're beautiful <3'. I used 'Flatten' effect for this one to convey the dark and gloomy look that is similar to Dean's thoughts after he finds out that someone is leaving gifts for Sam and is trying to woo him. 3. The scene with Sam and Dean in impala.

I will admit, I used the original image from the episode 'Baby' of season 11, but I had to edit it. The scene is where Sam and Dean are laughing along singing the song Nightmoves. I needed a similar image of the boys sitting in Impala the only catcher? I needed to reflect Dean's brooding and serious face. The original image has both Sam and Dean smiling. I had accommodate the author's description that Sam is looking all smiley and shy while he reads the book and looks at Dean, while Dean is all serious. I changed Dean's facial expressions by using a cut out using 'Photo Director' from another image and then adjusted those expressions using the tools available on "PicsArt'. I wanted this image to look a bit distorted because of the feel of the scene - two different emotions - Sam being all happy and Dean being serious. I used 'Comic' effect and adjust it to make it look like a sketch of sorts.

4. The scene with Sam in his bedroom.

So, here is the scene where Sam thinks the fae is still trying to woo him (but in fact it is Dean who leaves behind those flowers as a way to woo his brother but Sam doesn't know it yet) when he enters the room and find a bouquet of flowers laying on the bed. He is annoyed and he picks up the flowers and raises his eyes at Dean. I gave it a dramatic effect to convey the dramatic essence of the scene. It's all drama when both the brothers are being oblivious and dense. I just love these two idiots. Sam's room is the same as it was in bunker and cut out of Sam is from different scene. I tried to get the perspective set at 165 degrees to catch it right but it's still work in progress. I think I need a crash course when it comes to setting the perspective right ;) Anyhoo, those flowers are originally created using 'Colors' by PicsArt and the complete blending of the scene was done using 'PhotoscapeX pro'.

5. The Chapter Headers

The author wanted to divide the fic into three chapters so here are he chapter headers. The imagery on the headers convey the brothers finding love through miscommunication or by accident or by confusion created by the fae. Whatever the reason be, they found their way back to each other through gifts and lots of misunderstandings. The strings convey the rocky road back together and the gift stands for the all the wooing mentioned in the fic. After all - Sam deserves to be woo-ed. The neon effect was used to convey the magic and fae in the story.
