1. The Cover
The idea behind using two beds was that they represent Sam and Dean. The red string that is heart shaped and connects the two beds represents the complicated requited unrequited love between the brothers. And the table in between full of rose and gifts stand for the gifts that a fae is leaving behind for Sam which ultimately leads to the build up of this case fic. The little glitch effect represents the meddling of the fae and the touch of magic and Dean's confusion fueled by jealousy. that is in the story. I created this using the tools available on 'Photo Director'.
As always spn_j2_bigbang event is something we all look forward to every year and as always this year too, I had the opportunity to work with great authors - whom I've admired for so long.
This year I had a fun Collaboration with two amazing authors candygramme and spoonlessone of a magical story full of twists and turns. It's such a great story that I lost myself in the magical land the authors have woven with words. I'm sure y'all are going to to love the story. 1. The Cover Art/Banner:
So, the idea behind the cover art was given by candygramme where she proposed that I do something with a broken pot and musical notes or something of that sort. I scrolled down a few images and found stock image on Unsplash with background of blue glitter splash on black canvas. Credit of the same goes to the original artist. I then created a cut out of a vase and blended it with the background; it symbolized a broken Jensen whose voice was lost. I added the magic smoke - whose outline I created using Colors by PicsArt that symbolizes Jared who is an elf and knows magic, who helps Jensen get his voice back. The next step was to add pieces of broken glass coming together to form the vase - represent the idea that those pieces are coming together with help of Jared's magic so Jensen can be whole again. The music notes are symbol of Jared completing Jensen and finally Jensen having his voice back so that he can sing again. Effects and tools that were used are from the application called - PhotoscapeX pro.
2. The scene where Jared takes an Oath.
It was the first edit I created. It's such a beautiful scene set in the back drop of 'Elf land' - with woods and trees and flowers. I had to first create the background to get the settings of the scene right. I created cut outs from three different stock images that included trees with colorful flowers, a small water body with a bridge to cross over it and the dark woods that go beyond that - and I blended them together to get the scene right.
The next step was to add the figures. It was tough to get the body and face position correct and I don't think I managed it 100% but at least I was able to convey it I think. Jared takes the oath to help Jensen find his voice. The bright twinkle in between them was created using tools in 'Photo Director' and I added the 'Twinkle Bokeh' effect to give final touches to it using PhotoscapeX pro. I added the 'Illusion 789' filter to brighten the colors and I had to adjust the filter using 'Vibrance, Exposure, Hue and Saturation' tools.
3. The scene where Jensen enters the fortress
candygramme requested me to do the scene and she was sweet enough to send me an image to give me the idea as to what she and spoonlessone imagined the fortress to be when they wrote the scene. I got the gist of it from that image and found a similar one on Unsplash. I had to use perspective tool to give the image correct positioning to I could add the figure of Jensen walking in. **whispers** I used the Endverse Dean as inspiration for creating the imagery of Jensen walking inside the fortress. The final artistic effects were given using Magic Art tool in PhotoScapeX pro and PicsArt.
4. The scene with Jensen and Jared riding the dragon.
The story beautifully narrates the various creatures and how they help Jared and Jensen in their rescue mission. The one I created was the one with Jensen and Jared riding on a dragon out of the fortress surrounded with woods, happy and joyful because they managed to get Jensen's voice back. It took me sometime to get the settings right. Creating cut out of the dragon - finding the dragon that was similar to the one described - was one tough process to illustrate. This entire scene was created using 'PicsArt' and effects from 'Photo Director'.
5. The POV headers.
Every POV header is an interpretation of the character that they represent. Steve's POV has music notes and background of guitar because he's a musician.
Misha's POV is witchy - kind of because his is a negative character under the influence of the evil Queen.
Jensen's POV is background of sound notes blended with shades of green color to represent his green eyes and the vase and music notes symbolize him finding his voice back.
Jared's POV is full of magic effect to describe the Magical Elf Prince in all his glory who falls in love with a beautiful human.

My friend roxymissrose asked me to create a few chapter headers for her wonderful story Lodi. Thank you for trusting me with your fic, Roxy. I hope I did justice to it.
I started making the headers based on what the chapter spoke to me about. I picked out certain pointers that gives a glimpse into the chapter. This post contains spoilers for the story, so it is advised to read the story before you check out the headers given below.
They strolled into the town of Lodi, woods on both sides of the dirt road. It spoke of beginning of a new adventure. That's why I thought what better than baby on the road.

1. The Banner.
It had to look Royal because come on, Prince Jared? He just radiates Royalty. The prompt was painter Jensen painting a picture of Prince Jared. So, for the background I had to take a shiny look that would convey the thought of Royalty so I used the theme of Royal Castle walls. I had to create the photo manip of Prince Jared in a way that could look like a portrait painting. I used a few filters and effects using the PhotoKit application and added the frame that would suit the theme. Additional changes were done using Photoscape X pro.

I was fortunate to work with tammyrenh who claimed my original prompt and wrote a great story for it. After reading the draft, I couldn't resist myself and did additional art for it. Hope you like it.
India is tackling a massive Covid crisis and while the Government is doing the best it can, it isn't enough to manage the population of 1.3 billion people. The system is over burdened. If that wasn't enough there's people and organization that are working hard to spread panic and misinformation during pandemic. (via australiatoday) and Fake news is only complicating the matters (via ORFonline). In such situation, it's really important that you help out in any which way possible. A few days back I came across a post with links to organizations that are raising funds and unfortunately a few of them were hoax. After going through every organization that is doing its best to help India, I have jotted down the genuine ones where your transactions are safe and secure and are actually put to use. Following are the links to where you can donate a generous amount.
Summary: Dragon Jensen Ackles knew the moment he laid eyes on Elf Prince Jared that he had found his omega and mate. His most beloved of all treasures.
Notes: Saw this story and couldn't help myself from grabbing it. It's a cute story after all. The author notes mentioned some very interesting scenarios for artist to play field in. Here's the outcome.
