Uruk

The uruk are a synthetic race, magically-created hybrids of humans and gargun (mostly Gargu-Khanu or black goblins). Also known as orcs, they were bred as shock troopers during Ragnarök but now live as a free race and are spreading throughout Asgård.

Like trollborn, uruks are not well accepted by most Asgårdian cultures. Not only are they are viewed with antipathy by humans, dwarves and elves; but they are mistrusted (and often mistreated) by trolls and giants. They are held in awe by gargun, however, and often lead tribes of goblins.

Gargu-Hyeka

Among the greatest threats to the dwarves of Asgård are Goblins. Goblins were brought to Asgård by the giants, and fought on their side during Ragnarök.

Goblins are small, malevolent, and cunning humanoids who are divided into five sub-species. In their own tongue, the name themselves Gargun. They are arch-enemies of dwarves, who they hate above all other humanoids, followed closely by their distaste for elves.

Goblins are nocturnal, and possess superior darkvision (9″ range). In full sunlight, goblins suffer a –2 penalty to all d20 rolls (attacks, saves, and feat checks).
