Selina Stone
Dr Selina Stone is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Theological Education at Durham University. She is the author of The Spirit and the Body: Towards a Womanist Pentecostal Social Justice Ethic (Brill, 2023) and Tarry Awhile: Wisdom from Black Spirituality for People of Faith (SPCK, 2023) the Archbishop of Canterbury's Lent Book 2024. She was the lead investigator for the national project on race and clergy well-being and the author of “If it wasn’t for God: A Report on Global Majority Heritage Clergy Wellbeing in the Church of England” (2022). She is also the author of many journal articles, book chapters and reviews on Pentecostalism, theological ethics and social justice/liberation.
Dr Stone is a member of the Executive Committee for the Society for the Study of Theology; the Editorial Board for the Grove Books’ Doctrine Series, and the Editorial Board for the St John’s Timeline digital theological education project. Dr Stone previously worked as a Lecturer in Theology and Formation Tutor at St Mellitus College in London (2017-21). Her BA and PhD are both from the University of Birmingham (2010, 2021) and her MA in Theology, Politics and Faith-based Organisations was obtained from King’s College Lon-don (2014). She is the host of the Sunday School for Misfits podcast.
