Eames stumbles, but finally seems to break out of his trance, and Arthur wraps an arm around his waist to half-drag, half-run him out of the falling balloon's trajectory.<\/blockquote>

\"Oh no, that's quite alright. You are free to wear whatever you'd like\u2014I'm certainly not one to censor sartorial expression.\" Eames moves a little closer, and Arthur can see that the pattern on Eames' shirt is actually made up of cut-outs forming a peacock fan, revealing a wide expanse of well-defined chest and abs beneath. A part of Arthur wants to reach out and touch, possibly lick at the intriguing flash of nipple he sees. He promptly quashes that part.<\/blockquote>

The band begins to play and Eames begins to sing in earnest, backup dancers swarming around him in synchronized worship, crawling up and down his body to undo the buckles of his straightjacket. Once all the buckles are undone, he throws it off to reveal black leather pants and a vest made up of what appear to be chains, the vee down to his belly button, revealing all the planes of his muscular chest. Arthur knows they're not chains\u2014merely intricately threaded silvery fibers\u2014but from a distance, it's impossible to tell.<\/blockquote>

After the game is concluded (there's a tie), Eames drifts away from the other people. \"Arthur?\" he says, fingers holding onto the edge of the pool as he peers up.

Arthur kneels down by the edge of the pool. \"Yes, Eames?\"<\/blockquote>

\"Then why\u2014\" Arthur stops when she clicks another link, a video filling the screen while upbeat, fast-paced music comes on. There's some Japanese narration before Eames appears, wearing a tight white leather jacket and pants, gyrating on some kind of stage. Behind him is a sea of animated radishes, laughing and twirling as he pauses to take a long sip of the energy drink that appears in his hand. This runs for about thirty seconds, with phrases appearing in the background above the radishes like, 'Boost your creative juices!' and 'Yum yums!'

At the end of the commercial, Eames thrusts the bottle forward while grinning toothily at the camera and says, \"Tastes good!\"<\/blockquote>

We got our badges early because there was a separate line for Artist Alley people, and headed for our hotel.

In the end, we just stuck with the hotel parking (which costed $30 a night, wtaf).

But all that crap was melted away when we went to a nice restaurant where all the waiters and waitresses were eye candy.

(shut up, I am immature, ok) It really was the initials of the restaurant's name. The food was delicious but the bill was scary.

Day 1<\/b>

Our table! Fuu and I were kind of whining a lot (or maybe it was mostly just me) because in previous years, we've had a third person help us set up (namely Kari, our missing artist), and this year it was just the two of us.

Throughout the day, this mysterious, benevolent person kept giving me amazing Inception fanstuff, and it turned out to be <\/a>uncafe<\/b><\/a><\/span>.

We had Korean BBQ with <\/a>treat<\/b><\/a><\/span> later that night! I, uh, actually did not remember what she looked like and had no idea how many and who the other people she invited were, so it was super awkward for us. <\/a>treat<\/b><\/a><\/span> came late and we somehow squeezed 16 people to a joined table made for 10 people. Met <\/a>glampop<\/b><\/a><\/span> without realizing it, too! Thanks for the good time, guys *g*)\/

Day 2<\/b>
I don't remember much of what happened on day 2, except we had good sushi later that night.




They later debated evolution. We're both science majors, so it was annoying. Also, the guy who started these topics in the first place wasn't from our room, and he came by every night. What. Dude.<\/i>



And I don't remember when which days we took a pic of these cosplayers, but we only took pics of T&B cosplays \/o\\. Fuu & I were lazy this year with photos.

Day 4<\/b>

It was the last day of the con and no one wanted to get up.

It was finally the day where we both took turns wandering away from our table. I made a random friend (XM:FC fan!) who wandered with me. Shu gave us homemade cookies, Bernie gave us a pastry, and Fuu's cousin gave us unheated Chef Boyardee. We had food, all was good.

And the poker chip key chains! A lot of trouble went into making these, haha, but I'm happy with how they turned out! A glaze was sprayed on them, so they shouldn't scratch off. Each key chain features one side with Arthur and the other side with Eames. There are two versions -- nose & noseless, so you get to pick and choose. :D

Also I think this unicorn is legit trying to be like Amaterasu, except it's not a wolf god. Also I used to draw my own unicorn Lisa Frank-inspired stationary, but I can't seem to find where those went, so you'll have to take my word for it.

In conclusion, I'm glad people were gentle with me even though my art was pretty crappy. I don't think I would've been able to handle the heartbreak, and I would've done something drastic like QUIT ART FOREVER. But here I am, still drawing fanart ; u;)~

There is new art I've drawn, but I thought it would be kind of... really weird to have that in the same post, so I'll wait a little longer for a dump. Also, X-MEN FIRST CLASS oh my god oh my god ok<\/font>

I drew less than I thought I would, even though I think this is the most prolific I've ever been in a year -- it would've been 2009 if I didn't study abroad, but I wouldn't have given that up for the world \u2665

No one expected Inception. :'D I also didn't expect to draw any Vocaloid fanart, but it's not like I entered the fandom or anything, so it's hardly a shock.

What's your own favourite piece of fanart of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?<\/b>
Since I somehow seem to have no recollection of how I felt about my art before Inception happened, this one<\/a> that I drew for the boarding school AU by <\/a>pyrimidine<\/b><\/a><\/span> is my favorite. There are lots of mistakes in this one, but it was just one of those pieces that was very calming to slowly flesh out. I don't have a lot of patience when I draw, but this one was an exception.

Put more thought into my fanart. I've (finally) noticed that I mostly run off with silly\/cracky ideas, and I'd like to actually have some sort of concept or story to ground my pieces at some point.

Aside from the InvestiGAYtions one, I loved drawing the BFF trio<\/a> from Ace Attorney, and Action Fairy Eames<\/a>, and that tango collab with LMC at 4 in the morning<\/a>.

Possibly that Action Fairy Eames one, but really, none of you guys should be surprised by something so stupid. There are definitely some things I'm not proud of being the artist, though D': none of which I've posted on here. To, you know, spare you all the pain.

Either the Japanese High School AU<\/a> one, or... well, anything with a background. I'm working on them, but it's always been very frustrating for me.

Biggest Surprise:<\/b>
Kari's been telling me for years that I need to slow the fuck down with my art, and I've definitely achieved that this year. I'm drawing thinner lineart and I am now taking way too damn long to draw anything at all. But I suspect that's because I'm trying to be more careful now that I'm drawing characters from a movie, from real actors -- it forces me to think a little more about how to draw these characters, transfer them from 3D to 2D on a canvas, but in the end, I only drew crappy caricatures.

In conclusion:<\/b>
It's been a strange transition for me, from drawing fanart for anime-styled series to drawing fanart of real people, more or less. But most of all, I had a lot of fun drawing a lot of things because I am nothing without all you enablers. Thank you for putting up with me!
