9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?

Right, so, obviously we are once again going with the top ten fandoms I mentioned on day 3.

Under the cut, trios of favorite pairings. Or trios. Or etc.Collapse )

Another boring day at work, and the post with the requests is about to fall off the end of my recent entries page, so: more drabbles!

For mrsronweasley, who was so kind as to not request a hundred words of Those Pirates You Told Me About.

Dief is, of course, a monkey (and not named Dief).Collapse )

shnaucl wanted Present day Don/Charlie, Charlie stuck in a tree.

TreedCollapse )

iuliamentis has only been asking for a Dead Like Me drabble for a month now, and she is my best friend, and after all it's true...

Reapers Need HugsCollapse )

qe2 asked for Johnny/Walt/Sarah, prompt line "Cornflakes are good for the soul".

Pure CornCollapse )

A mere two weeks late, my story for the Dead Zone Photo Challenge is finally up.

In addition to apologizing for lateness, I feel I ought to apologize for duplicating the name of Journey's well-known and lovely due South story: unfortunately, it's the only title that worked here, and this story has been ornery enough that I am not prepared to argue with it in such matters.

My assigned photos were these: photo 1 and photo 2.

Family Portrait (54k)
Johnny/Walt/Sarah. It was nothing like the way you actually felt when you watched home movies.
Warning: violence against children.

Oh, God, I'm HOME. Not that I don't love everybody I spent the last two weeks with, but I HAVEN'T BEEN HOME FOR TWO WEEKS OH MY GOD.

ahem.

Very belatedly: yuletide! My wonderful wonderful Dead Zone Walt/Johnny story, The Definition of Stupid, was written by tangeriner, who I adore! Thank you so very very much, Tangerine!

I myself also wrote a Dead Zone story for Yuletide: Sympathy for the Devil, Bruce/Johnny, for rivkat. Many many belatedly-public thanks to cesperanza and terrio for beta!

Apart from my (seriously awesome, go read it if for some reason you haven't) Yuletide story, I got some other very cool Christmas presents this year: my mom made me a fleece blanket with a pattern of bookshelves on it! And I got BOOKS! The kind with PAGES! And many many DVDs! And a can of olives! And a Morley Chocolate Peanut Butter Block (from myself)! And merryish showed me FIFTY-ONE episodes of CSI in three days! How awesome is THAT?

And now, because I know you're curious, what I think about while driving 600 miles in ten hours for the fourth time in six weeks.Collapse )

Oh my Lord. I got the BEST YULETIDE STORY EVER this year (except maybe for last year's).

Dead Zone! Johnny/Walt! The Definition of Stupid is 28k of brilliant, funny, plotty, sexy fic, and you should all go read it RIGHT NOW.

Thank you Yuletide Santa! YOU ROCK!

1. The Dead Zone

I am now up to episode 4x03 (yay reruns!) and (dammit, cesperanza) considering writing a follow-up to my last little DZ fic. Still trying to decide whether it's cool or scary to have landed in a fandom where rereading Eliot (just for a title idea, I swear) actually helps with plotting.

Also, for those of you who are also getting into DZ, versaphile is doing Dead Zone Resource posts! Because she is organized and helpful and apparently able to do more than FLAIL INCOHERENTLY in the direction of this show.

2. Numb3rs

audrarose wrote an incredibly hot little Don/Charlie for the recent ficathon, Absolution. She has made noises about a sequel, and I for one am about to die of waiting. "Absolution" is a fantastically vivid piece with a beautiful first-time moment and did I mention the HOT? And the potential SEQUEL? Go read.

And remember, everybody, New episodes of Numb3rs start this Friday, which means shiny new fun Open Threads over at numb3rs_notice. If you're a Numb3rs fan and you're not on numb3rs_notice, join now!

As promised, Dead Zone genfic. A post-"Finding Rachel" tag, to be precise. Bruce and Walt have a little talk.

Beta thanks to the one and only iuliamentis, hand-holder and comma-wrangler extraordinaire.

Do What You Have to DoCollapse )

1. Actually went to SciFi Friday at bayleaf's for once.
1a. Actually saw an episode of BSG. Apollo and Starbuck are really just ungodly hot, aren't they?

2. Got up at eight in the morning on Saturday (give or take a few snoozes), took a shower, ate breakfast, printed out a stack of readings and problem sets, packed myself up and headed to campus to study with R and C.
2a. Realized it was a football Saturday, turned around, came home, went back to bed.

3. Went to IKEA with R and C
3a. Entertained the seating section. Further deponent sayeth not.
3b. Got R out of the store without letting her spend her rent money.
3c. Got R's bookshelf into C's car.

4. PIMPED lyra_sena INTO NUMB3RS HAHAHA I WIN!

5. (which is actually, like, 0, since it was Friday morning) Caught up to the USA rerun schedule for The Dead Zone, so have now seen up to the second episode of season four. My observations from the rest of season three: In snazzy cut-tagged bulleted-list form!Collapse )

6. Determined that the USA official website for The Dead Zone is nothing more nor less than a sign that the network loves us and wants us to be happy.

7. Stayed up until three in the morning writing pointless DZ genfic. Stay tuned. You know you want it.

8. Figured out how to do a bulleted list.

...Of course, this list conspicuously fails to include any kind of homework-related accomplishment, possibly because there weren't any. Well, that's what Monday is for...

So my Dead Zone season three torrent finally finished, and I have now watched the first three episodes, and OMG. I will cut tag in the quaint belief that I am not the last person alive to see this.Collapse )

It's possibly a little sad how much my mood, all day, has correlated directly to the progress of my bittorrent download of Season Three of The Dead Zone. The crushing agony of 0 seeds! The breathtaking triumph of 25 KiB/s downloads! The torrent and I are in an upswing right now, hence, whee! posting!

Also, I finished all of my reading for tomorrow. The cover letter, we will not speak of. Ha! The cover letter is done too!

Anyway, just in case any of you were wondering When Oh When I would write another Dead Zone fic short enough to be conveniently handwritten on an index card, the answer is last night at around 2 o'clock. A Whiff of Sulfur is my 227-word response to the dz100 "match" challenge.
