You know, it's funny. Last month a comic made me tear up. That's rare. I think the last time it happened was about 25 years ago. I mentioned it and noted that DC hasn't done that to me in... well, really ever.

For those of you who don't know, I'm the co-admin of The Wing-Nuts Forum, a Nightwing-focused Comics forum. (We've got sub-forums and threads dedicated to the rest of comicdom as well, but we're united by our love of Dick Grayson.
We're currently hosting a fanfic contest. Details are HERE.
There's a warrior and a victim living deep Inside all of us. We have to choose to fight or surrender When the world beats us up. I know where my weakness lies, but I know it's a fight that I can win. I may get broken trying to get up But I can't wait to start again.
DC2 is a shared continuity AU, which runs stories in a monthly, serialized format. Back in 2006, I wrote Nightwing Nos. 1 to 9, before handing over the writing reins to another ficcer. Although this issue is technically #27, seeing as 10-26 are elsewhere, I’m just filing this under 'DC2 Nightwing'. You can visit the DC2 here
A few points to keep in mind for this AU:
Dick is roughly 20 years old. He is currently leading the Teen Titans. He and Kory are an item.
Dick is currently attending college extremely part-time, while working full-time as an investigator with the law firm of Green and Loring. Tiffany is one of his co-workers and about his own age.
Tim Drake is 13 years old. He has only recently become orphaned, after his father was killed helping Batman. Bruce and Alfred have taken him in, but Bruce has steadfastly refused to take on a new partner. Alfred, however, has been giving the boy some training.
A/N: The final scene of this has already been posted as a stand-alone at batfic and dcu_freeforall under the same title
