"Oh my God, you're sitting down?" Reid asked increduously as Luke sat down smugly across from him in the Lakeview Louge.

"Ya know, I think there's something else going on here," Luke said, his eyes narrowed.

Reid took a sip from the large pilsner glass he was holding.  He sighed.  "And what would that be?" he asked, looking bored.

"You tell me.  You're so anxious to leave Oakdale, I give you a solution that could cut three hours off your travel time, and you turn be down 'cause it comes from me; now who does that?"

"I'm unique,"  Reid offered, looking off to the side and then back to Luke.

"No."  Luke shook his head.  "I don't think this has anything to do with me throwing my money around," Luke surmised, waving his hand in the air, "or how I got you to Oakdale."

"And your keen instinct tells you what?" Reid asked sarcastically.

Luke shifted in his chair, feeling empowered, ready to finally call Dr. Oliver out on his blatant homophobia.  Of course that's the reason he's had such a problem with Luke from the beginning.  "You wouldn't treat me this way if I was the straight husband or wife of one of your patients," Luke accused the man in front of him.  "You don't respect me and Noah because we're gay. That's it."  Reid scratched his head and let out a small chuckle.  "This isn't funny!" Luke argued, feeling more angry than frustrated now.

"You think I'm homophobic," Reid said, looking at Luke.  "That's hysterical."

"Why don't you let me in on the joke, Doctor," Luke said snottily.  "Is your best friend gay?" he asked, lifting his eyebrows.  "Or your mom...or your dad......who?"

Reid sat back, the epitome of self-confidence, looked Luke directly in the eyes, and said, "Me, Mr. Snyder.  I'm gay."

Luke cocked his head for a second, his eyebrows furrowed, and then nervously repositioned himself in his seat.  "You're messing me with me...you're not gay," he said disbelievingly.

"You're requiring proof?  How would that work exactly?" Reid asked, gesturing toward Luke.

"You never mentioned anything," Luke said and then whispered mockingly, "Are you really that deep in the closet?"

"Mr. Snyder, I've known I was gay since I was nine years old, and I assure you in all that time, I've never once hidden, aplogized, or been ashamed of who I am," Reid revealed in a deep voice.

"Well, that I can believe...but you never said anything to Noah or me."

"Why would I?" Reid asked, returning his eyes to the magazine in his lap and pissed off at himself for revealing something about his personal life to Luke-fucking-Snyder, with his messy hair, brown eyes, and red, red lips.

"Well, because it could have helped," Luke offered, feeling annoyed.

"Why, so we could have shared the secret handshake?"  Reid said, scowling and sitting forward.

Luke sighed, exasperated.  "It's called 'relating,' Dr. Oliver.  You meet something.  You learn things about them.  You find what you have in common, and then you get along better," he said smugly, gesturing toward Reid.

Reid sat forward even more.  "So, you're telling me, if I had told you that I'm a Pisces, yet ironically allergic to fish, you and I would have bonded?" he asked sarcastically, his mouth in a straight line.

"Maybe," Luke said, nodding.

"Here's the thing, Mr. Snyder," Reid said, "I don't want to bond with you.  And unlike you, I don't feel obligated to spill my guts all over whoever happens to be within range."  Reid stood up and walked away from the table, leaving his beer behind.

Luke sat forward with his elbows on his knees and watched Dr. Oliver leave the bar.  He rubbed a hand over his face.  Something had just shifted, and the confusion he'd felt the past few weeks, suddenly wasn't as daunting anymore.

He stood and followed Reid out of the lounge.  Once out there, he scanned the lobby until he spotted Reid, leaning against the wall, his phone up to his ear.

Luke approached him, and while Reid was still on the phone, he tugged on Reid's arm.  "What the hell?" Reid said, trying to pull his arm free of Luke's grasp, but Luke just gripped his bicep tighter, yanking him away from the wall.

"Dr. Hughes, I'll call you right back," Reid said, pulling his arm free, and pushing Luke away from him.  "I have a problem I need to take care of.  It shouldn't take long."  He disconnected the phone.  "What the fuck, Mr. Snyder?"

Luke's breath came out in quick puffs.  He shook his head and walked away.  For some reason Luke knew Reid would follow him, and he did.  Luke was familiar with the hotel.  He'd worked there one summer during high school.  He knew that the small room behind the concierge was always unlocked during the day and housed office supplies and extra hygeine items for the guests.

Luke twisted the handle and walked in.  He turned around, holding the door open for Reid, who walked inside without a word.

Reid looked around nervously at the very small room, a closet really.  He turned back around, and when he did, Luke grabbed him by the back of the neck and pulled him into a hard kiss.  It took Reid just a second to overcome the surprise of the kiss and to get his bearings.  He brought his hands up to the sides of Luke's head and opened his mouth to search for Luke's tounge, which he found warm, soft, and sweet.

Reid walked Luke backwards a few steps until his shoulders hit the door.  They continued to kiss deeply, and Reid pushed Luke's jacket off his shoulders.  "God, Snyder," he murmurred against Luke's lips as he tugged up on the bottom of Luke's shirt.  Luke lifted his arms, and Reid easily pulled the shirt up, over his head.  Reid's mouth immediately found Luke's skin:  His neck, his shoulder, his collar bone, and his hands pulled Luke against him by his ass.  Luke gasped softly when he felt Reid's arousal against his thigh. Reid continued to travel down Luke's body with his mouth and hands.

Luke thread his fingers into Reid's hair, tugging gently.  "Wait......Dr. Oliv................. wait......"

Reid stood up straight and kissed Luke deeply again, a soft moan reverberating in his chest. He then dropped to his knees and worked Luke's belt buckle open, tugging his jeans and boxers down to his thighs.  Luke wanted to protest, but then Reid's mouth was there, pulling him in, and he was incapable of doing anything other than leaning his head back, closing his eyes, and giving himself over to the hot, wet suction.

It had been an unbearably long time since Luke had had anything even remotely resembling sex with another person, so in no time he found himself bucking forward and releasing into Reid's mouth.  Luke gasped and tried to pull back, but Reid gripped his hips and pulled him forward, swallowing around him until Luke's body stilled.  After a few moments, Luke's legs proved inadequate in supporting his weight, and he started to slide down the wall, but Reid stood up and pulled Luke with him. securing him to the wall with his body.  He held the sides of Luke's face and kissed him, making a contented sound as Luke sucked his own taste off his tongue.  When the kiss broke, Reid kissed Luke's jaw and then whispered against his ear.  "Believe me now?"

Luke let out an awkward chuckle and ran a hand through his hair.  "God, that was......."  Reid pulled up Luke's pants, and Luke secured his belt.

Luke then moved forward and tried to cup Reid though his jeans, but Reid caught his hand and stepped back, shaking his head.   "I'm getting on an airplane with your boyfriend in a little while; think he'll be able to smell you on my breath?"

Luke closed his eyes.  Noah.  Reid's words sounded angry, teasing and dirty all at the same time.  Luke dropped his eyes.  "I doubt it," he answered.  "He hasn't touched me in forever, and he never liked.....well, he never would have done what you just did."  Luke's own words made him ache, but they also made him want to hit something.  Mostly, they made him want to kiss Reid again.

Reid leaned forward and kissed Luke gently, the backs of his knuckles grazing Luke's toned stomach.  "I have to go," he said, bending over to retrieve Luke's shirt and jacket.  "Noah is supposed to be dropped off here so that we can go to the airport together."

Luke pulled the shirt over is head.  He nodded.  "Okay, yeah..............shit..."

"Yeah, I know," Reid agreed with Luke's uneasiness, but he couldn't fight the small smile that came to his lips.  After all Luke Snyder had kissed him, and not only that, but he'd tasted a part of Luke that he'd only dreamt about previously.

Luke put his hand on the back of Reid's neck and tasted his lips one last time in a quick kiss.  He sighed.  "Here goes nothing..."

As soon as they turned the corner into the lobby, they saw Noah sitting by the piano, tapping his foot.  Luke put his hand on Reid's arm to stop him.  "He doesn't know I'm here.  He made it clear he didn't want to see me before he left.  I'm going to hang back."  Reid nodded.  "Please, take care of him, okay?"

Reid nodded again.  "I will."  He discreetly tugged on Lukes fingers and then walked away.

Luke watched Reid and Noah talk for a couple of minutes before Noah stood, and Reid took his arm to lead him out of the Lakeview.  As they neared the door, Reid looked back over his shoulder and caught Luke's eyes.  There was something soft in his gaze, and then he was gone.
