Donar Player is a free music player that helps you organize your music. With support for a total of 13 formats, Donar offers most of the features music lovers expect to find in a player.
The program's interface is arranged in a way that makes it easy to navigate through your music collection. There is a panel that gives you quick access to the library and playlists. In the library you'll find all the songs and albums added; with a single click you can change the viewing mode and have the program display songs by albums, artists, genre, format, and even bitrate. From this section, it is also possible to perform a variety of actions; aside from playback, you can edit the ID3 tags of your tracks, rate songs, see file properties, etc. Apart from the basic controls, the player bar has buttons to cross-fade, repeat, and randomize playlists. One handy feature is that all these actions can be carried out by means of hotkeys.
Custom playlist creation with Donar seemed an easy task, but turned out to be just the opposite. After creating a playlist and dragging & dropping tracks to it, it disappeared for no apparent reason. I couldn't solve the problem after a few tries, and the fact that there is no help file and no support on the website is quite disappointing. On the other hand, the feature called 'Dynamic playlists' seems to work better, it automatically creates lists of songs based on your playback habits, it collects the most played or last played tracks. more
