The Single Post Template Builder in BlogNews allows the design of fully customized post layouts using Elementor.
Instead of relying on the theme’s default single post layout, it provides the freedom to create a unique design that highlights post content, featured images, author info, related posts, ads, and any Elementor widgets.
This ensures a consistent and engaging reading experience across all articles.
How to Create a Single Post Template
Follow these steps to build a single post template:
- Go to the WordPress Dashboard.
- In the left sidebar, navigate to BlogNews → Site Builder.
- Click the Single Post tab.
- Click Create Template to open the Elementor editor.
Additional Template Settings:
- Edit Title Name → Rename the template title.
- Status Option → Set the template as Draft, Pending Review, Private, or Published.
- Hide Title Toggle → Option to hide the page title.
- Page Layout Options → Choose between Default, Elementor Canvas, Elementor Fullwidth, or Theme Layout.
To display demo content inside the editor:
- Open Post Settings (gear icon at the top).
- Expand the Post Settings panel.
- From the Preview Dynamic Content as dropdown, select Single Post.
- Choose a post from the list to load as sample content in the editor.
- Use Elementor and BlogNews widgets (such as Post Title, Post Content, Author Box, Related Posts, and Ads) to design the post layout.
- After completing the design, click Publish.
Content & Display Settings
When building the single post, Site Builder provides:
- Template Title → for identifying the post design.
- Edit with Elementor → drag-and-drop builder for customization.
- Display Condition → apply the template to all single posts or specific categories/tags..
Styling Controls
Since the single post is designed with Elementor, all BlogNews widget styling options are available:
- Layout Controls: Arrange content sections such as title, content, author, and related posts.
- Box Settings: Background color/image, padding, margin, border radius, and shadow.
- Typography Settings: Customize post titles, body text, meta info, and captions.
- Responsive Controls: Adjust spacing, font size, and layout for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Pro Tip
- Include an Author Box and Related Posts section to improve engagement.
