Photos allow customers to upload personal images or select images from a predefined library to create custom product designs. Product Designer App provides flexible tools to edit, position, and enhance photos directly inside the Design Studio.

Before using photos, make sure the Show Upload Photo or Show Photo Library option is enabled in the Design Studio settings.

Add a Photo #

To add a photo to the design, follow these steps:

1. Open the Photos menu in the Design Studio.
2. Choose one of the following options:
   • Upload a Photo – upload an image from your device.
   • Photo Library – select an existing image from the library.
3. Click on the photo you want to add.
   The photo will be added to the active design area.

Supported image formats typically include JPG, PNG, SVG.

Activate Photo Options #

To edit a photo, you must first activate its layer:

1. Click on the photo layer in the design canvas. (1)
2. Once selected, the photo options toolbar will appear. (2)

All photo editing features are available only when the photo layer is active.

Photo Editing Options #

1. Add Shape to Photo – Apply a predefined shape mask to the photo (e.g. circle, heart, custom shape) to create creative photo layouts (3).
2. Apply Photo Filter – Enhance the photo by applying available filters, such as grayscale, vintage, brightness, or color effects (4).
3. Set Photo Opacity – Adjust the transparency level of the photo to blend it with the background or other design elements (5).
4. Crop Photo – Crop the photo directly inside the design area to keep only the desired part of the image.
5. Copy Photo – Duplicate the selected photo layer to reuse it elsewhere in the design.
6. Lock Photo – Lock the photo layer to prevent accidental movement, resizing, or editing.
7. Flip Photo – Flip the photo horizontally or vertically to achieve the desired orientation.
8. Photo Alignment – Align the photo precisely within the design area:
   • Align left, center, or right
   • Align top, middle, or bottom
9. Delete Photo – Remove the photo from the design completely.
   The photo will be added to the active design area.

Notes #

• Uploaded photos are used only for the current design unless saved as part of a template.
• Image quality depends on the uploaded file resolution.
• Some features may be limited depending on your plugin version (Free, Basic, or Pro).

Where Photos Appear #

Photos added in the Design Studio:

• Appear as editable layers in the design canvas
• Are included in preview images
• Are rendered in the final print file (based on product setup)
