Installation tools
There are many ways of preparing your site to deliver data to Parse.ly. Several tools assist with satisfying one or more Parse.ly installation requirements. Review the following list of tools, and their benefits, to see which meets your needs the best. All of these tools can insert the tracking code onto a site, but not all of them can provide metadata.
WordPress Plugin
- WordPressVIP maintains the official Parse.ly plugin
- Only tool that extracts metadata from WordPress and inserts it onto the page
- Features Content Intelligence, Engagement Boost, Headline Testing support, and metadata customization
- You may disable tracker insertion for dual use with other tools featured below
Google Tag Manager
- Parse.ly Support maintains the GTM community tag template
- Since GTM usage is widespread, and may be on your site already, it allows for copying and pasting custom triggers
- Facilitates consent management, e.g., as described by OneTrust documentation
- Offers support for setting up Audience Segments and Conversions
Other
There are other third-party tools that you may use to insert the Parse.ly tracking code. These tools aren’t used as frequently as the others mentioned above.
