When copying Docklight communication window output to the clipboard, the colors and fonts are sometimes lost and only plain text is available for pasting.

I sucessfully installed Docklight on a new Windows 11 24H2 computer. It starts, but I get a crash / error “(80040154) class not registered” when opening certain dialogs like ‘Edit Send Sequence’ or when registering a license. How can I fix this?

This is an issue observed on newer Windows 10 and Windows 11 versions where the Rich Text Format (RTF) clipboard data is not always correctly copied due to different Window messaging timing. This has been addressed in the upcoming free V2.5 updates.

The new V2.5 versions also use an improved copy mechanism when in “Dark Theme” mode: To ensure the clipboard content remains readable in standard documentation tools, Docklight automatically converts the output to a “paper-ready” version. Instead of copying low-contrast text on a black background, it provides a version with a white background and optimized colors suitable for Microsoft Word or other editors.
