Title: Time Lost and Time Won
Pairing: Spencer/Jon (side Jon/Tom and Jon/Cassie)
Rating: NC-17
Prompt: 120 - Jon and Cassie break up and Jon starts to have a bit of a sexual identity crisis. He gets kind of drunk with Tom and ends up hitting on him and Tom's all 'I would be your boyfriend forever if I liked guys, but I just don't :('. Maybe he kisses Jon a bit to help him figure it all out though. Anyway obviously Jon is kind of sad afterwards because he is still lacking a hot boy to make out with on a regular basis. Cue a concerned member of his band who gets him to admit all this and then decides that HE will be Jon's bf! It's kind of a joke to make Jon feel better at first but then he gets more and more attracted and friendly ass pats and kisses become more 'so this is nice' than 'yay self-esteem boost for you'. And of course all those leave Jon in various states of turned on and confused and 'man, why do the hot ones always TEASE ME?' ;_; etc. etc.
Summary: Jon finds himself with the help of an ex, a best friend and a boyfriend.
Notes: Coda was written as a huge favour, because I CAN'T WRITE UN-ANGSTY SEX, by redsnake05 and is wonderful. You will love it.

okubyo_kitsune sent me an email today and since my LJ email isn't my personal email, I have no friends on it, so I couldn't forward it on effectively. So, I did this, instead:

"You have been invited to be a part of a recipe exchange. I hope you will participate. Please comment below with a recipe. It should be something quick easy and without rare ingredients. Actually, the best one is the one you know in your head and can type right now. Don't agonize over it, it is the one you make when you're short of time."

Go for it. Ask for recipes, post some. Talk about the ones you like best. Here's mine:

Chocolate Beetroot Cake:

50g cocoa powder
180g plain flour
1 and a half tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
250g caster sugar
300g cooked fresh beetroot
3 eggs
200ml (vegetable or corn) oil
1tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 180 celcius, if you have a fan oven.

Mix the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add the sugar and set aside.

Mash the beetroot in a food processor (you can do it by hand, it just takes a lot longer). Add the eggs, one at a time, then add the corn oil and vanilla and beat until smooth.

Put a dip in the centre of the flour, sugar, etc and pour in the beetroot mixture. Mix them in, then pour into buttered cake tins.

Bake for about 40 minutes. It won’t rise too much, so don't worry about that. Ice as usual.

Summary: Ryan's not quite sure how he managed to find a home somewhere that doesn't include the only person he's ever wanted to spend the rest of his life with. 'After almost an hour cab ride – because he's just barely figured out the New York Metro, he's not even going to attempt the Underground – he pulls up outside a rather unappealing gray cement tower block. Ryan frowns, but catches himself quickly. New York has spoiled him, or at least, Spencer has.'

Yes, so, I have a music kink. Not like... a 'you play an instrument so are hot' kink. A 'you understand music and can talk about it properly' kink. I also love arrogance. So, you see why I'm screwed over with the composer Alex Prior. He makes me go stupid and tingly. He's slightly younger than me, which at my age makes a big difference. I'm so going to be his stalker when he's back in England.

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

Ahhh! Lots of good music coming out of BBB. And, you know, good stories. Seriously, how are we meant to be reading all of these in one day? I already had my computer read one out to me whilst I was doing other stuff. I don't have this amount of time to read!

Incidentally, the one that I had read out to me was my favourite so far. AND NOT ONLY BECAUSE THE COMPUTER MADE ME GIGGLE BY PRONOUNCING BRYAR (which was used a lot in the story) AS BRIERERERERER. I kept having to skip the word and got my computer gooey with marzipan and icing sugar. The story is... After The Music. I love it.

Currently - well, not so currently anymore, I just finished watching it - watching Flight of the COnchords and I have to say I'm not as impressed with this series. Not nearly enough singing. Although the song about too many dicks on the dancefloor was good and had gay men in it. What doesn't lead back to bandom, OMG?

Actually, that's a thought, why aren't FotC part of bandom? Ok, so I know, they aren't a typical bandom band, but they are awesome and have a TV show. Bret(t)/Ryan coming up. Ok, not right now. After bandgirlsbang, possibly. Oh, oh sign ups for mixers and artists are still open. Sign up!

I think it might be a pinch-hitter thing. Like my mix. Strangely enough, I already have all the art for it because I know the artist and we've been having chats. Ok, so, wishforhome kind of wrote something quite sad about her OTP.

pete/brendon i have the weirdest fucking otp ever. seriously. like, okay, what? have you ever tried to find brendon/pete fic? there are maybe ten good ones. i've read them all. the rest have pete as the creepy old pervert who forces brendon to give him a blowjob in exchange for a record contract. or molests him outside a gas station. or rapes him in the back of the van. THAT IS NOT MY OTP, OKAY! for me, the pairing is totally about dorks in love. they both have these manic elements to their personality that compliment, and the stupid shit they get up together makes them ridiculously awesome (half-naked bowling what). but they both also have serious sides, and they'd just be so adorable and in love together and ugh.

Which, I can totally understand the weird OTP thing, hi meet Patrick/Spencer and Frank Iero/Brendon, so can sympathise. And because the creative juices have been flowing lately I thought I'd scribble something out. And I'm impatient, so no beta, but I've read it over.

Warning: I'm not claiming this is any good. Just a bit of fluff for the cold nights (and days).
