Through the years I've had quite a few nicknames, Mouse, Dusty, Gus, and more, but Rebel was my favorite. Running the streets as a fourteen year old run-away was when I was given the street name. Whenever anyone of our group of ruffians and grungy girls would greet me, they'd start singing Bowie's Rebel Rebel because I was small and hadn't really any figure yet, and thus my nickname was born. I didn't mind, I adored Bowie and his androgeny fascinated me as much as his talent.
It's hard processing he's not here on earth with us anymore, but I'll look for him among the stars tonight... Travel on Starman, make beautiful music wherever you visit! Oh, and say hello to Freddie for me...
