It helps students to learn through discovery. The objective of the paper is to identify the advantages and challenges of integrating GeoGebra in teaching and learning properties of ellipse through a lesson study. Applying the lesson study framework, the study found that graphing through GeoGebra helps the students to produce sensible observations and formulate plausible conjectures based on their graphs in lesser time compared to graphing through paper and pen. GeoGebra gives opportunities for teachers, the observers of the lesson, to look for another way to teach mathematics lessons, particularly teaching ellipse. Based on the reflections of the teachers in the post-lesson debriefing, the teachers realized that the success of the GeoGebra-integrated mathematics lesson is dependent on the knowledge of the teacher in using GeoGebra, the availability of the necessary infrastructures and computer units, and the facilitation of the teacher during the lesson.
