Darker than my usual work, which is saying something. If I don’t go to hell for this, I never will. This fanfic was inspired by many things; reading one of my favorite Poe stories, "The Black Cat"; listening to Apocalyptica's "Unforgiven" and generally, rereading my essay, "Desire, A Gateway To Insanity", from which the quotes between scenes come from.

A final note. It has come as a big surprise, but it seems that you can become very emotionally attached via lj to people you have never actually met. I used to be one of those people who scoffed at 'internet friends/lovers'. I could not understand how you could get close to (love OR hate) someone that has never been been within a 1000 miles of you. I stand corrected. To all who are hurting today because of internet emotional injuries to internet relationships, I am thinking about you, and hope you are all ok.

Also, speaking of Snarry, murklins, I finally saw some updates to send to you with regards to the newsletter, only to have them listed on said newsletter less than 2 hours later. So excited to have news...then anticlimax. *pouts* I continue to be vigilant, in case you were wondering, or if atrata is keeping track or not. reddwarfer-do you need more classics? I am not certain how many you wish to have me send, but if I can help in any way, you know what to do. *g*
In other news, I have a side project I am working on, no time limit. I was invited to do a collaboration with another author for a post-HBP canon Snarry. My assignment was Harry. The other author is unable to continue this as a result of illness (get better soon, honey!). Her assignment was Snape. Any takers? /plea
I have another FanArtist Appreciation post planned for later this evening. Also, my list of artists for these posts? Getting longer, not shorter. WTF?
Have bunnies ready to go for various challenge fics. Have been duped by atrata into joining the Power Ballad Multi-Fandom Slash ficathon. Because I am an idiot. With a music fetish. *nods*

Ok. So very many things. I'll need a list. Not because all the kewl kids are doing it, either. Because I am old and need to double check things.
1. Challenges. Have yummy bunny for reddwarfer's The Boy Who Scored challenge. Twincest and Harry Potter...hee. Also have excellent and hopefully suitable-for-my-recipient bunny for my merry_smutmas assignment. Oddly terrified about writing it.
2. Must not forget to trawl archives for people who are counting on me.
3. Must pimp some things. New archive: The Archive At The End Of the Universe aka The End. Must thank gmth for inviting me to it. Thank you , Gina. montana_dan updated her To Have Not (sequel of 'To Have and To Hold' HP/SS/LM) Have some more recs (yes, Ella! On it!)...stories and art...will have to wait for weekend. Too busy.
4. Have to ask: weaveroffate and individum??? *knife through the heart of Snarry* What is going on? Those of you who don't know, weaveroffate was Lachesis, who had the reins of the Dusk To Dawn Snarry FQF, and of course, individum is Page, our *Detention* archive mod and guru.
5. Another concert tomorrow. Must remember, as I have all the tickets, and there will be some seriously pissed of folks standing in front of the Queensryche show wondering where they are if I do not.
6. Many MANY stories bookmarked to read. MUST CATCH UP! Aggggghhhhh! *flails*
I don't. I LOVE spiders. All kinds, all sizes, all types. I name all the big ones here.
I have a particularly aggressive one behind my computer who is spinning his web very quickly. I've decided to call him Brutus. I have another, she's a beauty, out by my door. I've decided her name is Simone. The thing about spiders is that they kill the little shite bugs such as mosquitoes. Did you know that human beings are never more than 4 feet away from a spider at ALL TIMES? Pretty cool.
Anyways, I only mention it because of Brutus here, and the fact that my roommates are starting to resent my spider love. I have insisted they not kill any of the spiders here at the house, or hose them down from the carport. I have to admit, the house is beginning to look like a set for the movie, "Arachnophobia". Webs in every corner, all over the ceilings, and corners, and closets, and windowsills, and...well, you get the picture. Heh. I think they are about to crack. I suspect I may come home from work one day to find them all gone. Which would upset me.
Would you like to see Simone? I have a picture of her. She is about the size of a quarter including her legs. Simone.

Watched my newly released DVD of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead last night. Fuck, I love that movie. I had forgotten just how much. Top shelf. *nods*

Also, a funny. You know those fax spams that every office gets pimping 'management style' seminars? You know the ones: "How to get your employees to respect you/show up/not quit/be more productive"? We got one faxed to my office last week, and Harry Potter's picture was on it! The one where he is looking at the camera, all intense, and holding his wand up. The heading was something like "How to inspire your troops, without having to be a cheerleader." or some tripe like that. It was pretty funny. I left it on my evil boss's desk. *g*
In other news, I have decided that today (as my Father's Day plans are next weekend) is the day I go see Star Wars, RotS.
