Just finished work on this one tonight. This is just a photo taken under domestic light, so not great, but I'll fix it and post a proper scan soon. Getting ready for convention season - I'm seeing Adam three times in April/May/June!
Okay, I might be slightly obsessed with those British Men of Letters!
As soon as I'd scanned Mick's picture yesterday, I knew I was 95% happy with it, but there was just something that was off. At first I couldn't see it, but then after walking away for a couple of hours, I found it; his nose. His nose was just too aquiline, too Roman!
So tonight, I've been havinng a little fiddle about with it, and I've given his nose a bit more 'roughness' - Mick's nose is slightly crooked, it looks a bit 'lived in', maybe Adam has broken it at some point in the past - how careless!!!
Anyway, here is my updated version of Mick (with the original version for comparison!)
It's been a public holiday here in the UK, and for once, the sun was shining, and I had nothing planned!
It was one of those days with cloudless skies, not a breath of wind and no residual dampness from previous rainy days. Now, any of my UK f/listies will know that days like that are as rare here as rocking horse shit,so bearing that in mind, and given that Mr D was pootling around outside in his workshop, I decided to take the opportunity to sit out in the garden with him and do a bit of arting.
And, my subject? Well, given that my last picture was Mr Ketch, there was only one option, wasn't there ...
