I’ve always been passionated by new technologies and especially by DiY. Few years ago the term IoT (Internet of Things) appeared and I had the chance to join as Embedded Software Engineer one of the first French startup developing that kind of products, called Withings. My journey in this company allowed me to meet talented people as well as develop my skills around wireless technologies, especially around Bluetooth / Bluetooth Low Energy technologies. During 2 years I developed a Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy stack which is today used in several Withings’ products (Smart Body Analyzer, Pulse/Pulse Ox, Blood Pressure Monitor).

In this blog, I want to share my knowledges by explaining from scratch how to bring step by step Bluetooth Low Energie to your personal project. This blog will cover Software and Hardware sides of a such project.
