But was happens if you want to build a disk with different versions of the macOS Install app ? Using <a href=\"https:\/\/diskmakerx.com\/whats-this\/\">DiskMaker X<\/a>, you would need to prepare your drive with multiple partitions, create an install disk on one partition, and then rince, repeat with every version of the macOS or OS X Install app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DiskMaker X Pro is DiskMaker X, on steroids.<\/strong> Provide the installers, name your disk DMX-Target and launch DiskMaker X Pro. Follow the instructions, copy your installers in the right folder, and within a few minutes, you&#8217;ll get a disk with every macOS \/ OS X installer released in the past seven years, each one being bootable. And each OS will only take the space needed on the drive, keeping all the remaining space of the disk in an <em>Other_Stuff <\/em>partition so that you can keep other tools as well. DiskMaker X Pro is a perfect tool for Apple technicians performing on-site repairs, allowing to restore any OS in a few clicks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To build a bootable disk, you\u2019ll need :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>An external disk. <strong>THIS DISK WILL BE COMPLETELY ERASED!!! <\/strong>Reserve it <em>exclusively <\/em>for DiskMaker X Pro at this time. 64 GB or more minimum if you want your drive to be able to install any OS from OS X El Capitan to macOS Catalina. Prefer a very fast disk (SSD FTW!).<\/li><li>You will also need a macOS or OS X install app. You can find a list of all the available macOS \/ OS X download installers on the <a href=\"https:\/\/diskmakerx.com\/download\/\">Download page<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will get a lot more informations in the <strong>Documentation<\/strong> included in the DiskMaker X Pro disk image after download, but you can also <a href=\"http:\/\/diskmakerx.com\/DiskMaker_X_Pro_User_Guide.pdf\">read the manual here in glorious PDF file format<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Warning! DiskMaker X Pro will not run on macOS Catalina yet.
