Fedora 41 not suspending/shutting down correctly

Hey people, i hope somebody can help me about this problem im having.

In F41, clicking power button for “Suspend” causes the following behaviour for me:

  • Screen goes blank
  • Machine power light “blinks” as if indicating that the system is suspended
  • GPU RGB and all internal fan are still on
  • I cannot recover from this. Pressing keyboard buttons/moving mouse has no effect. I have to hard reboot.

This happens like 2 out of 10 Suspend. I do not know what caused this. Sometimes the same thing happens when i shut down the PC, The RGB will still be on the GPU and Fan are still on until i long press the power button.

This is my System Info:

Can you try kernel 6.12.9 and see if you still have the suspend problem? Don’t know if it’s the same issue, but I started seeing another problem resuming from suspend when I moved to the 6.12.10 kernel, but I haven’t seen anyone else complaining about it. Haven’t had time to do any debug so I’ve just been sticking with 6.12.9 for now.
