Hi there, I’m Gabriele. I’m originally from and I currently live in .

I’m a senior software engineer at Datadog, focusing on Python observability. My background is in Physics and Mathematics. I have an MSc in Theoretical Physics and a Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics from the University of Glasgow.

I am the creator and maintainer of Austin, the frame stack sampler for CPython, and the author of Mathematical Quantum Physics: A Foundational Introduction and The Mathematical Foundations of Machine Learning.

In my spare time, I enjoy Sim Racing and playing Snooker, as well as learning and tinkering with new technologies.
