@mrdoob engine is doing for us day after day.
Over time have seen Three.js emerging in these HUD(s), exhilarated as to what the community has been working on.
In our own form of reality for Three.js we have A-frame
A web framework for building virtual reality experiences. Make WebVR with HTML and Entity-Component. Works on Vive, Rift, desktop, mobile platforms.
Three.js version of AR using AR.js using fiducial markers while also working with A-frame
