-Another Panic! slash community for all those readers/writers out there.
Disclaimer:
As far as we know, none of the boys in Panic! At The Disco are remotely interested in other boys. These stories are only figments of our imaginations, and are only for our amusement.
Rules:
-Please abide by these very simple rules.
1. LJ drama sucks. We don't want it. This means that the fine line between concrit and bitching/personal attacks is not to be crossed under any circumstances. At your first abusive comment you'll be given a warning, at the second you'll be banned from the community.
2. Promotion of RPGs is banned. We have nothing against RPGs, but don't see them as relevant to a writing community.
3. Promotion of other communities will happen through one of the mods. If seen as relevant, it will be posted.
4. Do NOT post anything that has to do with finding a certain fic. There are memories for that. If you absolutely do not know the name of it or the author then find someone on the community to ask and do it outside of this community whether it be IM, e-mail, or whatever else there is out there.
5. We have very strict Plagiarism Policies. If you are found to have copied someone else's story word for word, you will be banned from the community; also, your story is going to be removed/deleted from the community. If you are found to have committed a lesser degree of plagiarism, you will be warned and depending on the degree of the insult, the story will be removed. If you're found doing it a second time, you'll be banned.
Other than this, we believe in freedom under responsibility. If the members of the community can't handle this, the rules will be tightened. But please, do not force us to do that. We're trying to put the fun back into writing Panic! slash, and our aim is to make it work with as few rules as possible.
1.
Purposes:
Our reason for creating this community is to give writers of Panic! slash a solace where the rules aren't too tight and where they don't have to fight with their self esteem before even posting. We want people who've been writing their whole lives and people who are 'virgins' at it to be able to post equally and not feel ashamed of their work.
Betas are encouraged but not required. And remember that using a beta is not something to be ashamed off. The best of us make mistakes and other people are often better equipped at spotting them than we, as writers, are.
No pairings are prefered to others, no subtle hinting that a pairing in particular is gross or overused is allowed.
Also, if you're a newbie to writing slash, maybe best check out this Gay Sex 101 about the do's and don'ts when writing smut.
2.
Title: (I think we all know what this means.) Rating: (Will give a notice as to what extent the chapter or standalone is I.E. [Drugs, sex, fluff, rape, abuse, etc.]) Pairing: (Again, a sort of obvious one.) Summary: (Brief description of something that happens in the chapter.) Disclaimer (This states that you do not own anything or anyone in the story unless you really do. Example: I do not own Panic! At the Disco or any of the boys. That is a simple one. If you do happen to own something in the story like, say, you use your dog. You can state that you do not own Panic! or anything else except for the dog. These can be made funny as most people like to do.) Author Notes: Put anything you'd like to add here.
If you'd like a easy way to make your introduction look like the example above, copy and paste the contents of the box below and simply fill in the blanks with the required information.
* If you don't know how to create an lj username tag, copy and paste the code from the box below and add your username in between the quotation marks.
3. Your story (not the introduction, which should be in plain site and not under a cut) needs to be under an lj cut, or you could link to another post in another journal with the link code. If you do not know how to make an lj cut, copy and paste the code from the box below into your post - if you wish for the cut to say something specific, put whatever it is you want to say inbetween the quotation marks.
4. We do not generally care if you put the previous chapter link on your story. Although some people do like this so if you want to use it then here's how. If you do not know how to use the linking code, copy and paste the code in the below box into your post. The code will make a link, that when clicked, will open the linked chapter in a new window - do not mess with the part of the code that says target="_blank".
