The City of Herne participates actively in the project to utilize the knowledge gained in the sectoral plan for health promotion. Our contact person on the part of the municipality of Herne and team member of DiMDiCi is Marie Meinhardt.

She holds a Master’s degree in Urban Culture, Society and Space.
In 2019, she became the head of the Citizen Self-Help Center (Bürger-Selbsthilfe-Zentrums BüZ) and the Department of Health Promotion and Planning, Herne. Her research interests are health inequalities in urban and social spaces, as well as health-promoting urban and regional development, or interventions in social spaces, to name just a few.
