Inspiration

I have competed in UI UX competition in DU, where a planting app design was the task I really enjoyed thinking about that, and so I we chosed that theme

What it does

It does what we expect a planting app should do It can show posts, show plantation photos, harvesting page inspires people It also have a plant section, where we can learn about all the plants and image It can identify plants by pictures it also has a chat AI to help users in planting It has a planting calendar that will help the users plan their works It has some challenges to earn badges It has a plant journal, that could be used as a diary for planting by users it has a dedicated forum, where users can ask question about planting

How we built it

We built it using next.js and postgreSQL as database we built both of them simultaneously We added a feature, and then test it, only then we advanced to the next feature

Challenges we ran into

APIs was so error prone. Also they have user limits. we often get stuck on something, and find out that just the API is stopped for limitation Also, some code works on only the coder's pc(which we always expect)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have built a full featured app by ourselves, this is a very proud task for us. We ran into many difficulties, but in the end, we solved them

What we learned

We learn next js features, postgreSQL tasks We also learned first hand experience on how to use APIs

What's next for Greenery- A planting App

We are planning to use it by ourselves and listen to feedback of the audience We can only hope for the best
