Inspiration

Our inspiration came from the high rise of food waste. Recently with covid and a lot of people losing their jobs, there is no space for food waste. We decided to create this app to help those that can't afford to waste food but help everyone as wasting food is never good. We wanted this app to be easy to use and practical.

What it does

FRESH is a food management app that helps you keep track of your groceries and their expiration dates. It also helps you find recipes with ingredients that you own.

How we built it

We decided to turn our app idea into a website as we did not have experience building an app. Building the website we used HTML, CSS, and Javascript. We all split tasks between one and the other and for work done.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was getting started as we had no idea how we would start! After countless researcher and youtube videos, we finally took a jump and started designing and coding.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of what we have built so far as many of us tried and learned new things. From coding in an unfamiliar language to working with API.

What we learned

We have learned a vast amount of things. New coding language, how to work with API, and what API is. Overall we learned how to create a good working environment with a supportive team.
