Inspiration
Students often spend hours reading lengthy PDFs, making notes, and searching for answers to simple doubts. We wanted to create an AI powered study assistant that makes learning faster, smarter, and more interactive. Aura Study AI was inspired by the idea of giving every student a personal AI tutor that can understand their study materials instantly.
What it does
Aura Study AI allows users to upload academic PDFs and generates detailed summaries in an easy to understand format. It also includes an AI doubt solving system powered by Gemini Flash that answers questions directly from the uploaded document. This helps students revise faster, understand concepts clearly, and save time during exam preparation.
How we built it
We built Aura Study AI using Python for backend processing and integrated Gemini Flash for AI based summarization and doubt solving. The application extracts text from uploaded PDFs, processes the content, and generates context aware responses. The frontend provides a simple and interactive user experience, while the deployment allows users to access the platform online in real time.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was handling large PDFs efficiently while maintaining accurate summaries and responses. We also worked on improving context retention so the AI could answer doubts correctly based on the uploaded document. Integrating AI responses smoothly with the frontend and deployment setup was another challenge we overcame.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully built and deployed a working AI powered study platform that can summarize PDFs and solve doubts in real time. We are proud that the platform provides practical value to students and demonstrates how AI can improve education accessibility and learning efficiency.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned about AI integration, PDF text extraction, prompt engineering, deployment workflows, and building scalable educational tools. We also improved our problem solving, teamwork, and product development skills.
What's next for Aura Study AI
We plan to add multilingual support, voice based interaction, personalized quizzes, flashcard generation, and advanced semantic search for better learning experiences. In the future, we aim to transform Aura Study AI into a complete AI powered personalized learning ecosystem for students worldwide.
