The Genesis Framework supports six (6) layout settings that can be applied to your entire site and to individual posts, pages, category archive pages, tag archive pages, and author archive pages.
Note: The available layout settings will depend upon which Genesis child theme is activated on your site. Not all Genesis child themes include all six (6) layout settings.

- Content, Sidebar: This layout includes the Primary Sidebar widget area displayed on the right side of the content.
- Sidebar, Content: This layout includes the Primary Sidebar widget area displayed on the left side of the content.
- Content, Sidebar, Sidebar: This layout includes the Primary Sidebar and Secondary Sidebar widget areas displayed on the right side of the content.
- Sidebar, Sidebar, Content: This layout includes the Primary Sidebar and Secondary Sidebar widget areas displayed on the left side of the content.
- Sidebar, Content, Sidebar: This layout includes the Primary Sidebar and Secondary Sidebar widget areas. The Secondary Sidebar is displayed on the left side of the content and the Primary Sidebar is displayed on the right side of the content.
- Full Width Content: This layout does not include sidebars.

Select the Default Layout for the Entire Site
Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Settings to reveal the available options.

Now choose Site Layout to select the default layout for your entire site.

Use the drop down to select the desired site layout. This is a global setting which will be applied to the entire site.

Select the Layout for a Specific Post or Page
If you’d like to use a different layout on a specific post or page, click the Genesis icon at the top of the sidebar and then select the desired layout.

Select the Layout for a Category or Tag Page
If you’d like to use a different layout on a category archive page or tag archive page, go to Posts > Categories > your category or Posts > Tags > your tag. Then scroll down to the Layout Settings section as shown below to select the desired layout.

Select the Layout for an Author Page
If you’d like to use a different layout on your author archive page, go to Users > Your Profile . Then scroll down to the Layout Settings section as shown below to select the desired layout.
