Migrating from Atomic Blocks Pro Beta

Important note: These instructions are for migrating from the Atomic Blocks Pro Beta plugin only.

If you are using the free Atomic Blocks plugin and need to migrate to Genesis Blocks, see How to migrate from Atomic Blocks to Genesis Blocks instead.

The Atomic Blocks Pro Beta plugin was renamed and is now the Genesis Blocks Pro plugin. As a result of this renaming, several changes have been introduced in the plugin that will require you to perform some manual updates if you’d like to preserve the settings and content you’re currently using in the beta plugin.

In this article, we’ll show you what you need to do before and after switching to Genesis Blocks Pro if you want to preserve your settings and content. If you don’t want to preserve them, you can disregard this information.

Note: We highly recommend reading through this entire guide to discover the necessary changes before installing Genesis Blocks Pro on your site.

Save your work

If you are using any of the settings or blocks mentioned in this article and you’d like to continue using them with Genesis Blocks Pro, save your work first.

Before making changes on your site, we always recommend backing up your site in case you need to restore it for any reason.

Text used in the content mentioned below can be saved to a blank document on your computer. Block settings can be saved in a screenshot so it’s easy to remember them when reconfiguring the blocks.

Note that when you log into your User Portal and install the Genesis Blocks Pro plugin, the Atomic Blocks Pro Beta plugin will be automatically deactivated (not deleted).
