He&#8217;s here to talk about the latest edition of his WMI Explorer tool. Take it away Vinay&#8230;\nI&rsquo;m excited to announce that WMI Explorer&nbsp;2.0 is now available for download from CodePlex: <a href=\"https:\/\/wmie.codeplex.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">WMI Explorer<\/a>. Special thanks to Tim Helton for his guidance and support.\nRequirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=17851\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (Web Installer)<\/a><\/span><span><\/span>&nbsp;or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=40773\" target=\"_blank\">.NET Framework 4.5.1<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Minimum display resolution: 1024 x 768<\/li>\n<li>Administrator rights to view some WMI objects<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) Internet access for automatic update checks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New features include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Asynchronous mode for enumeration of classes and instances in the background<\/li>\n<li>Method execution<\/li>\n<li>System Center Configuration Manager (SMS) mode<\/li>\n<li><b>Property<\/b> tab, which shows properties of a selected class<\/li>\n<li>Input and output parameter information with Help on the <b>Methods<\/b> tab<\/li>\n<li>List view output mode for query results<\/li>\n<li>Update notifications when a new version of WMI Explorer is available<\/li>\n<li>Ability to connect to multiple computers at the same time<\/li>\n<li>Quick filter for classes and instances<\/li>\n<li>User preferences<\/li>\n<li>View WMI Provider process information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the following features have been improved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UI display on higher scaling levels and resolution<\/li>\n<li><b>Connect As<\/b> option to provide alternate credentials<\/li>\n<li>Display of embedded object names in <b>Property<\/b> grid<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Note<\/b>&nbsp; This is not an official Microsoft tool, and it is available &ldquo;as is&rdquo; with no support.\nI invite you to follow me on <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/scriptingguystwitter\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/scriptingguysfacebook\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>.
