I wanted to take a minute to highlight some&nbsp;of the&nbsp;new web developer features that we&#8217;ve added since Beta 1:<\/P>\n<P><STRONG>Design view support for&nbsp;configuring AJAX Extenders<\/STRONG><\/P>\n<BLOCKQUOTE>\n<P>If you are using the AJAX control toolkit for .NET 3.5, or have built your own AJAX extenders, and you add them to the toolbox,&nbsp;Visual Studio 2008&nbsp;now allows you to configure them&nbsp;visually.<\/P>\n<P><IMG src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2019\/02\/Beta2-4.png\" border=\"0\">&nbsp;<\/P>\n<P><IMG src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2019\/02\/Beta2-5.png\" border=\"0\"><\/P>\n<P>In addition Visual Studio will show extender properties in the property grid when viewing properties of a control&nbsp;once it&nbsp;has been extended.<\/P>\n<P><IMG src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2019\/02\/Beta2-6.png\" border=\"0\"><\/P><\/BLOCKQUOTE>\n<P><STRONG>JScript&nbsp;syntax validation<\/STRONG><\/P>\n<BLOCKQUOTE>\n<P>Visual Studio&nbsp;now has basic syntax validation for Javascript code.&nbsp; The editor will now squiggle known syntax problems with a red underline, and will display the same errors in the error list.<\/P>\n<P><IMG src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2019\/02\/Beta2-8.png\" border=\"0\"><\/P><\/BLOCKQUOTE>\n<P><STRONG>Drag\/drop of script file references<\/STRONG><\/P>\n<BLOCKQUOTE>\n<P>To&nbsp;add a reference to an external JS file, one can simply drag it into any HTML, ASPX, or another JS file.<\/P>\n<P><IMG src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2019\/02\/Beta2-3.png\" border=\"0\"><\/P><\/BLOCKQUOTE>\n<P><STRONG>Improved support for creation and consumption of&nbsp;WCF services<\/STRONG><\/P>\n<BLOCKQUOTE>\n<P>In Beta1, one could create a WCF service only&nbsp;in the <EM>Website<\/EM> project type.&nbsp;
