Summary<\/h2>\n

We have heard many customers ask about the internal usage of TFS across Microsoft.\u00a0 Microsoft IT has an offering of TFS and I have included some data and trends of this IT offering throughout the second half of 2011 (July \u2013 December 2011).\u00a0 I plan to publish data like this every 6 months.\u00a0 Overall, we are continuing to have consistent growth in the TFS services hosted by Microsoft IT.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In November and December, one of our biggest instances, MSIT, was split into three different instances.\u00a0 During this exercise, MSIT did a big cleanup of old data on TFS.\u00a0 Due to this cleanup, we see some drop in the number of team projects, work items, and source files during November and December.<\/p>\n
