In this Update we continue to expand on the languages and platforms we support build and release. Check out the demo video for an overview of the features and a look at YAML and the release definition templates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8OknoSF9w5A?rel=0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>YAML builds, which has been in preview for the last several months, allows you to version your build definition alongside your code\u2026 because it is part of your code. Now you can also maintain the specific branches for triggering continuous integration (CI) builds right from within the YAML build definition file. The build system will recognize those branches and take care of the rest.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42965\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/133_04.png\" alt=\"yaml build CI trigger\" width=\"887\" height=\"456\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can also use the new <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/kubernetes\/helm\/\">Helm<\/a> tasks in <strong>Release<\/strong> to package and deploy Helm charts to <a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/services\/container-service\/\">Azure Container Service (AKS)<\/a> or any other Kubernetes cluster.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42975\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2018\/04\/133_09.png\" alt=\"helm release tasks\" width=\"913\" height=\"336\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Besides Helm, we\u2019ve added better support for <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/vsts\/release-notes\/2018\/apr-16-vsts#continuously-deploy-to-azure-database-for-mysql\">Azure Database for MySQL<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/vsts\/release-notes\/2018\/apr-16-vsts#deploy-ruby-on-rails-applications\">Ruby on Rails<\/a> in this Update too.
