One of the really cool features you should try out is the <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/loadtfs\">new cloud-based load testing<\/a> we have introduced as part of Visual Studio 2013, which lets you generate load to test your app without having to worry about infrastructure setup.<\/p>\n<p>There are some minor irritants\/bugs that a few users have reported\u00a0while using load testing as part of Visual Studio 2013. If you have been affected by any of these issues, we are sorry for the inconvenience. We&#8217;ll fix these problems at the first possible opportunity. The good news however is that simple workarounds exist for these issues. Here are the list of known issues and the workarounds to fix them.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><li value=\"1\">\n  Visual Studio hangs when you\u00a0try to run a load test on the cloud using Team Foundation Service\n<\/li>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Issue: Visual Studio hangs\u00a0when I queue a load test to be run using Team Foundation Service. This is\u00a0noticed for the first time you try to run a cloud-based load test when\u00a0there is no active connection to a Visual Studio account from your Team\u00a0Explorer. You shouldn\u2019t notice this issue in subsequent runs.<\/li>\n<li>Workaround: Restart Visual\u00a0Studio. Go to Team Explorer,\u00a0connect to a Team Foundation Service account. Then run the load\u00a0test.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><li value=\"2\">\n  Importing results from a\u00a0cloud-based load test fails the first time\n<\/li>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Issue: After I run my load\u00a0test using Team Foundation Service, the &#8216;Download Result&#8217; operation fails with the following error: &#8220;There was an error while importing the\u00a0result file. Details: The system cannot find the file specified. After\u00a0correcting the problem open the results from Load Test Manager&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Workaround: This issue is\u00a0seen in certain cases only for the first time after installation of\u00a0Visual Studio. Restart the machine and launch Visual Studio again. You\u00a0will not face this problem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><li value=\"3\">\n  Cannot record web performance\u00a0tests\n<\/li>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Issue: I cannot see the web\u00a0performance test recorder in Internet Explorer, after I upgrade from\u00a0Release Candidate\/Preview build to the RTM version.<\/li>\n<li>Workaround 1:\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><li value=\"1\">\n  Close all\u00a0Internet Explorer windows and Visual Studio.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/li>\n<p>1.  Delete the following\u00a0registry keys<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerDiscardablePostSetupComponent Categories<\/code><\/li>\n<li>\n<p><code>HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerDiscardablePostSetupComponent\u00a0Categories64<\/code><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Restart Visual Studio and\u00a0start recording from the web performance test.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Workaround 2: If the above\u00a0steps do not solve your problem, then please perform the steps mentioned\u00a0in this article:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/b\/visualstudioalm\/archive\/2013\/09\/16\/using-internet-explorer-11-and-not-able-to-record-a-web-performance-test-successfully.aspx\">http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/b\/visualstudioalm\/archive\/2013\/09\/16\/using-internet-explorer-11-and-not-able-to-record-a-web-performance-test-successfully.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Once again, we are sorry these issues slipped through and will fix them soon.
