We have closed the survey and have started to process the&#160; data you provided.<\/p>\n<p>The overwhelming majority of you have told us that <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/library\/bcew296c.aspx\">Edit and Continue<\/a> is important and you&#8217;d like us to make it even better. We listed scenarios where Edit and Continue is disallowed today and asked which ones impacted you the most.&#160; Here&#8217;s what you said:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/00\/00\/00\/35\/13\/2402.encresults.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image002\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px;border-right-width: 0px;border-bottom-width: 0px;border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image002\" src=\"https:\/\/devblogs.microsoft.com\/devops\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2014\/05\/1462.clip_image002_79C0CBD9.gif\" width=\"550\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see the most frequently reported problem is that <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/library\/bcew296c.aspx\">Edit and Continue<\/a> doesn&#8217;t allow you to modify or add LINQ queries or lambda expressions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The good news is we hope to address LINQ and lambdas (and more) in the next release of Visual Studio!<\/strong> In fact, we&#8217;ve investigated what it would take and the <strong>work is already underway<\/strong> to make the necessary changes across the Visual Studio debugger, .NET Runtime, and Managed Languages teams to make Edit and Continue play nice with LINQ queries and lambda expressions in vNext.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll share more about that and other exciting developments in future posts.
