gamescom dev is the official game developer conference of gamescom.
First launched in 2017 under the name devcom, the conference quickly became Europe’s biggest game developer event.
In Autumn 2025, devcom was renamed gamescom dev — a name that reflects its close connection to gamescom and its evolution into a central meeting point for the international games industry.
In 2026, the event will take place on August 23-25 in Cologne, Germany. Additional to two days of conference with keynotes, talks, roundtables and workshops held by international industry experts, gamescom dev will also feature a business expo, online and onsite matchmaking, side events, parties and activities, the indie expo and more.
gamescom dev conference 2026 will take place from August 23-25 at the Koelnmesse fair ground in Cologne, Germany.

- Monday, Aug 24: 9 am – 7 pm (CEST)
- Tuesday, Aug 25: 9 am – 7 pm (CEST)
For guests with restricted mobility, the Koelnmesse fair ground, where gamescom and gamescom dev conference take place, offers various suitable ways to enter the fair complex and exhibition halls.

As the official game developer conference of gamescom, gamescom dev conference takes place at the same trade fair ground, Koelnmesse, in Cologne, Germany.
At Koelnmesse, the event is held at the Conference and Exhibition Center “Confex”.
The conference program will feature around 210 sessions by 350 speakers. Topics will cover all game development and business related fields – from game design, community management, AI, to research & education, mental health and much more.

Applications close April 5, 2026.
Almost all sessions are recorded and will be available to attendees as video-on-demand (VOD) after the event concludes. If you attended gamescom dev conference, you can log into our online platform to access the recorded talks at your convenience.
Please note that VOD access is exclusively available to ticket holders. Workshops and roundtable sessions will not be provided as recordings.
