This song came on my playlist as I reached the end of the fic. I think this song kinda fits now that I look back on it, so I used it as the title (since I didn't have one -.-'). Lovely, heartbreaking song

I'm not a huge fan of this couple, but I'm really not opposed to them either. I think they could have potential, especially with their personalities. And hell, I write Sakura with so many others, might as well add Neji to the list. *shrugs* This is just a short experimental writing thing I did with these two. Hope you like it.

So I've done some preliminary profile work for the story and it should be underway soon! I'm very excited for it. It's like a breath of fresh air. So I really hope that the people who have been following my fic will enjoy it, too. I'm really going to try my best while my other work will be on hiatus (I'm looking at you SoG -.-')

Anywho last night I turned an old sketch into some ItaSaku arts. With Sakura, at first I intended to have her wearing her clan symbol and have it integrated with the Akatsuki clothing, but then the more I tinkered, the more I felt... Nah, she'll just be in Itachi's cloak instead. So it's his draped over her. ^_^

I have a rough shaded pencil draft and then a bit cleaned up with color pencil. I'd like to do something more with it, but for now I think it's just something I'm going to put in my Kage notebook and have for inspiration of sorts while writing.

So, this is that ItaSaku AU piece I mentioned in a previous post. This is just a glimpse into it, the plot bunny that wouldn't let me be.

Some helpful info: It takes place in a futuristic Konoha. Technology has evolved in leaps and bounds and has left everything - and everyone - else behind. The city itself is thriving, shiny, and new. Medical advances have been made improving prosthetics, implants, and the such. But those that can't afford the new technology live in the outskirts of town where homes are still tiny and little more than run down shacks.

The Shinobi force is a special military group headed by the Hokage. They take special missions that involve those criminals that every day police force can't handle - or even know exist. Sakura was once a Shinobi, but is now a force in the criminal organization known as the Akatsuki. Before she joined the Akatsuki she took part in the Shuriken program which allows her to see an and all chakra - in any place it was used by a ninja (because manipulated chakra, they discovered, looks different than the natural flow of it that every person has). She was implanted with a chip that when used in conjunction with the Shuriken injection allows her access to the Kage System, a large database of sorts.

She was given a secret mission by Tsunade before her death, and now that her friends and her country sees her as a threat, only a few know of her true purpose, including the people she had thought least likely to: The Akatsuki organization itself. In addition to her mission she seeks to find the truth about Tsunade's death and the disappearance of Sasuke.

I was wanting it to be Ita/Saku.

It's futuristic AU with Sakura being a part of the Akatsuki organization. She's part hero, part criminal and works with the Shinobi force (which is like a secret organization that does what the police does, but for criminals that every day people don't know exist) - even though the Akatsuki are against it. It would just be a one-shot... possibly a two-shot that just gave a glimpse into what the life is like. And of course some awesome Ita/Saku-ness would be in there as well.

Would anyone maybe be interested in reading something like that?

So, last night while doing some sketches and practicing some poses for the fight scene plaguing me (when I should've been working on SoG, or studying, or writing the KakaYama that's staring me in the face with pouty lips begging to be written) I started drawing chibi-style faces.
Those chibi faces morphed into Naruto characters and well... here ya go!

I placed them under a cut cause there's four of them and one of ItaDei that's NSFW - not cause there's nudity but because of the... nature of the sketch :) Oh Slinky, I hope you like it :D
