I started watching Life Unexpected on the recommendation of my cousin, and I'm only about halfway through the pilot, but it seems cute. I told my mom about it and said the girl from Roswell was playing a 32-year old and my mom looked at me and went, "How old are you?" Thanks, mom.

Went to brunch with the family today for my grandma's birthday, it was really nice. I love brunch. Does anyone not love brunch? If so, you're crazy, brunch is the best.

(Day 2 of being better at LJ, I WILL DO THIS.)

You ever get the feeling that everyone has forgotten you exist and then you check in and OH MY GOD you realize how bad you miss everyone? That's me, right now.

I'm on my way out the door, but I'm going to come back later and post again and read my friendslist and just generally try to get back into the swing of things, because for real, I miss all of you a lot and I didn't realize how much until just now.

I suddenly realized that you guys probably think I'm dead. :\

I'm not dead, I just don't have much to say. Looking for a job, dealing with my crazy family, trying not to go crazy myself. Heh.

So yeah, I literally cannot think of a thing to say. But hey all you! Hope you're doing well!

Well, I'm alive. Sorry for the long absence, and thank you to wendy for the gentle prodding. ♥

So, let's see, what's doing on with me? Well, first, last night I went to make a deposit at the ATM, and it spit my card back out at me and told me to contact the bank. So I called this morning, freaking out, and it was fraud. Fraud on my account! Apparently someone tried to charge $311 on my account at a Kroger's down in Texas. So this afternoon I have to go to the bank and get all the info, then I have to go to the police station and file a statement. I swear, I'm more pissed about the inconvenience of it all than anything else, which probably says a lot of (not good) things about me. But my bank kicks ass for catching it so quickly. No charges actually went through, and they just froze the account and tried to contact me, which they couldn't, because I'm a dumbass who forgot to update my phone number with them.

E.T.A. My town police, on the other hand, suck. They made me wait for almost an hour before finally coming out and taking my report. And I'm sorry, but I don't live in a hotbed of crime. I find it really difficult to believe that all the officers were off arresting criminals and solving mysteries! And if they were? Then the person who said it would be just a FEW MINUTES should have told me it would be a while and maybe to come back at a better time. >:(

And that's about it for me. My little life isn't very exciting right now, which is pretty much exactly how I like it. Ella goes in to get fixed next Tuesday, THANK GOD, because the poor thing has gone into heat every other week for the past two months. I feel so bad that it took so long to get her in. Had I realized I was going to have to wait so long, I would have called back in December.

Anyway, how are you all doing?

Oops
It occurred to me last night in bed that when people clicked on the one link for one of the songs that I uploaded, all they'd see was the title, "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy," and they'd probably assume it was that one country song. But it's actually a song by Haley Bonar and it's awesome and really pretty.

So, that's it, really. Just a general FYI. Happy Wednesday!

I went and saw Wicked last night with Meredith and Nikki. It was pretty awesome. I wasn't as excited going in as I should have been, for some reason, but I'm really glad I went. The woman who played Glenda was amazing. Well, everyone was amazing, but she was especially good. Apparently The Lion King is coming to town in the next year, so I think we're going to try and see that. It's supposed to be seriously amazing, and even though I don't LOVE the movie, I think the musical is something I shouldn't pass up. Tickets are so expensive, though, so we'll see. It'll probably depend on both of them, since they're both in school, although Meredith has a job.

My birthday is Friday, and I'm not even remotely looking forward to it. I have to go to some seminar for work that day, which is going to be incredibly boring, and I'm having to compromise on the celebration because people are going out of town (people are always going out of town on my birthday, because it just falls at the wrong time of year) and I'm just generally feeling sorry for myself. Self-pity is not an attractive quality. I'll get over it by the time it's actually my birthday.

Ella, who isn't scheduled to get fixed until April 19th, because that's the soonest they can get her in, has now gone into heat twice in the space of the week. I feel really terrible for her, because she's feeling awful, but I feel sorry for us, too. She's in hell, and she's bound and determined to take us down with her. It's my fault, though, because I didn't realize there was going to be such a long wait, and didn't call as soon as I should have. I'd take her somewhere else, but this is the cheapest place, and I have to be so careful with money.

One last thing, thank you, anon. You are amazing and awesome, and you should come forward with your identity immediately so I can shower you with love and affection, as you so deserve. ♥

So, yesterday afternoon, while trying to download "The O.C.," I managed to pick up a virus. I've never had a virus before. (Well, I had one at work, once, but that's entirely different.) It was so awful.

Finally, after hours of googling and running scans, which did not work, btw, the boy from last month (who is still a douche, but a computer savvy one) saved my ass by giving me some crazy old-school program that I ran in safe mode and killed the virus. But it was a pretty awful few hours, and now I'm terrified to download anything from MegaUpload, which has never given me any problems before! Now I'll never know if Seth and Summer stay together this time or break up again. :(

And then this morning I forgot to put a filter in my coffee pot, and let me tell you, do not ever forget to put a filter in your coffee pot. Now, you're probably thinking, "how can you possibly forget to put a filter in your coffee pot, Erin?" Well, I'll tell you. My coffee pot is a grinder/brewer, so I put the beans in the grinder part, and then the grinds are pushed through a tunnel of coffee making magic, and they go into the filter. So I forgot to put in the filter, and when they were pushed through the tunnel of coffee making magic, they landed in the filter holder thing and the result was not even a little magical. I'll be cleaning up coffee grounds a month from now. Woe.

But these are fixable problems, so it's all good. I am all about the fixable problems.

So, the Olympics! Man, I love the Olympics. It's two weeks of awesome. Now, I love the summer Olympics a lot, but the winter Olympics are my absolute favorite. Skating and skiing and snowboarding! All things that I can't do, but really, really love to watch. I actually think snowboarding (the snowboarding cross, not the half-pipe, because I don't want to die) looks ridiculously fun. But the only mountain I live near is a "mountain." So it's a big hill.

Speaking of snowboarding, poor Lindsey Jacobellis. After hearing for four years about her mistake, now she's going to have to listen for the next four years about her "failed redemption." I imagine she wants to just be like, "Fuck you, I didn't need redemption, I'm awesome no matter what I do." I think she's awesome, if you can't tell. I was really happy the Canadian woman took the gold in that event, if our girl couldn't get it. And after her bad accident in the last Olympics, that was really nice.

Did anyone see Lindsey Vonn's run last night? And the NBC cameras that were about a foot away from her while she sobbed in her husband's arms? Way to give her some privacy with her husband, network. I mean, I know she was crying with happiness, but honestly. Give the woman a break.

Skating tonight! I am so nervous. Personally, I'm rooting for Johnny Weir, but I will be very happy if Evan wins as well. Poor Jeremy Abbot.

But! Shaun White is INSANE. Awesome, but insane.

The Olympics are a roller coaster of emotion for me! One minute I'm like, "Poor so-and-so," and then I'm like, "OMG, SO-AND-SO IS AMAZING."

TWO WEEKS OF AWESOME. \o/
