I went to college wanting nothing to do with math and science. So naturally, this English and History major found her way to databases.

I’ve been working at software companies over 20 years (ack!), helping programmers with all aspects of database design, queries, performance, and deployment. In 2016, I started this blog. Soon after that, I began speaking at SQL Saturdays and at user group meetings.
I was an IDERA ACE Class of 2020, “One To Watch” as part of a #Redgate100 in 2022, and as well as the winner of Speaker Idol at PASS Summit in 2019. I am a former board member of the New England SQL Server User group (NESQL) and a former member of the Azure Data Community Advisory Council. I’m a co-founder of WITspiration and a co-leader of the Data Platform WIT (Women in Tech) user group. In November 2020, I was awarded Microsoft MVP for the Data Platform.
When I’m not working with databases, I’m usually found doing something musical or something geeky with my husband, Andy (t | b), and our dog, Sebastian.
Thanks for joining me on this journey!
