I was just told this afternoon that come tomorrow I'll be training in Specials. These are the fines that are dealt with separately because the perpetrators have a mental or intellectual issue that makes them unable to comprehend what's going on.

I'm quite pleased about this.

See, back in uni my field of interest was forensic psychology. So I have a lot of background in mental illness and its relationship with the justice system. And admittedly fines aren't really that high up in the scale of justice, but hey, it's something more interesting than what I'm going now. And there'd be a sense of helping people, instead of having to deal with moronic, abusive individuals who seem to think it's their god-given right to do whatever they like on the roads and not pay their fines.

*deep breah* Yep, it's been that kind of week.

Any way, new stuff. New interesting stuff, that will give me my own section again. *grins* I'm just a power junkie, really.
