SUBLIME SDGs

Project ongoing, from December 2023 to February 2028

What is it about?

“SUBLIME SDGs” highlights the critical role of local authorities in achieving the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It empowers European border towns and islands to become “ambassadors” for sustainable lifestyles and climate actions. The project supports these local governments and their communities with tools to tackle sustainable development challenges.

SUBLIME stands for SDGs Uniting Border communities as Leaders of Inclusiveness, Mobilisation, and Empowerment.

What changes does this project inspire?

“SUBLIME SDGs” promotes active citizenship, offers educational experiences, and encourages tangible actions for climate and gender justice. By fostering an appreciation for diversity and active citizenship, the project brings people together within their community and connects them with decision-makers.

The project helps EU residents addressing the global challenges in border regions to gaina deeper understanding of the complexity of the UN 2030 Agenda and seizing opportunities offered by the climate transition and gender equality. By engaging citizens and policy-makers alike, the project envisions change that ripples from local to global levels.
