Hi! I’m Enrique, a computational linguist turned data scientist and crossword constructor. This is my space for sharing crosswords and writing about crossword-related data projects.

My crosswords appear regularly in publications such as the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Apple News+, AVCX, and Puzzmo. They also have appeared in the Atlantic, New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today, as well as the Boswords and Westwords crossword tournaments, commercial campaigns for T Brand, the A24 book 99 TV Crosswords, the Puzzmo Crossword Puzzles book, and the pop culture crossword book series Grids Just Wanna Have Fun (80s), New Grids on the Block (90s), and Grids Don’t Lie (00s). Some of my other activities in the crossword space include having served as co-editor of Lil AVC X and actively co-maintaining Spread the Wordlist, a free and accessible resource for constructors.
