Additional hold time (AHT)

Quick definition

Additional hold time (AHT) is an artificial delay imposed by a liquidity provider (LP) between receiving a client's trade request and performing any validity checks to accept or reject the trade. AHT is most common in FX markets where it is exercised in conjunction with last look, which allows the LP to accept or reject a trade request from a client.
