My name is Daniel Miessler and I'm a Cybersecurity / AI engineer and founder based out of the San Francisco Bay Area who's been building and writing online since 1999.

I'm worried about humanity's future.

Most people built their identities around their jobs. Their title, their place in a hierarchy, their usefulness to an organization. AI is about to automate a lot of what we received value in doing, which will cause a crisis for millions.

But I think this is also an opportunity, because corporate life wasn't some pinnacle of human existence in the first place. If we do it right, AI can free people to discover who they actually are, and help them instantiate that. Their purpose, their talents, and the things they'd pursue even if nobody paid them.

That's what I'm working on: helping humans upgrade themselves for a post-corporate world.

My main pushes: TELOS is a framework for articulating your identity, values, and goals—who you are and what you're trying to accomplish. Human 3.0 is the destination—a world where humans define themselves by their unique contributions rather than their jobs. And PAI (Personal AI infrastructure) is the platform that enables the journey, giving everyone the tools to build AI that truly knows them and helps them activate their best self.
