I've uploaded this month's update to NSYNC Flashback. I don't have a lot of footage for July 1998. For the most part, the guys spent most of month on tour in the US and Canada. The Disney special aired in the middle of the month so I can ony imagine how much their lives changed between the beginning and the end of the month! Anyway, I can't be real sure of the date of this clip, but I'm guessing it was filmed while the guys were in Canada during the middle of the month. Enjoy the clip and don't get blinded by Justin's very bright hair! :)
If you want to download the clip, I've uploaded it to SendSpace here.
What a wonderfully Sparkly year it has been! Except for Justin's continued domination of the entertainment world, nothing happened the way I would have predicted it. In fact, this time last year I was all excited that JC had finished his album and was anxiously awaiting its release and hoping for a tour -- I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed for this year! :)
Although they may have been unexpected, the events of 2007 appear overwhelmingly positive for the guys of NSYNC and I've enjoyed watching their continued success. In 2007, Lance opened up to the world, got a job, began using his celebrity for good and spent time with a number of very handsome men. What didn't Justin do this year? He became a bonified movie star, mounted a world tour, won an Emmy and seemed to have a blast the entire time. Joey took over my TV! I was addicted to DWTS and amazed at his talent and personality and am so excited to see him continue his success by hosting the Singing Bee. And Chris! He came out of hiding! Having him on my TV each week while Manband was airing was a treasure. It was great to see him happy and excited about something. His public outings are still too rare for my taste, but perhaps 2007 will bring more collaborations and/or even solo music from him - I sure hope so!
JC had a tough year. It seemed to start strong and I was really enjoying all of the media coming from his radio promo tour, but as we know, things didn't get off the ground. However, he seems to be okay with how things have worked out and maybe now that he's out from under Jive things will move forward. Regardless, he made many a crossover fan happy with his collaborations with BSB and he kept me happy by continuing to be a gorgeous and talkative social butterfly that I can rely on to pop up regularly on red carpets and celebrity news shows.
Overall, I've accumulated almost 18GB of new media (over 2700 individual files) from 260 different "events". I've captured most (but not all) of the video myself, but I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the wonderful folks who share pictures and audio files. Please don't ever stop -- your generousity means so much to me! I've listed all the files I've collected this year behind the cut below. Let me know if I've got something you missed - or if you've got something I've missed. ;)
My next post is going to be a pic spam of some of my most favorite events of 2007 (this post is already too long!) so be thinking of your favorite Sparkly moment of 2007 because I want to know!
Pardon the teeny subject line, but I saw Hairspray last night and was really impressed with Lance. Previous reviews suggested he was hard to hear, but I was excited that I could hear him very clearly. Our seats were in the front row of the balcony so maybe the sound carries differently there? Regardless, the show was great! Since I've put off seeing the movie, I wasn't that familiar with the story and the songs were all a nice surprise. I was even surprised with how well Ashley Parker Angel did in his roll.
Lance was very sweet after the show and made a point to give autographs and pictures to anyone who wanted them. I was down on the end away from the stage door, so I thought it might be awhile before he got to me but he surprised me by running down and starting at my end. I was kind of spazzy and couldn't find my camera in time to get a photo, but he did sign my program and was very gracious (looked me in the eye and said "you're welcome" when I said thank you for his autograph) with me and everyone else in line. My NY friends were actually surprised at how nice he was to his fans.
Last, but by no means least, big hugs to glendaglamazonfor being such a great tour guide yesterday! We had a great day of sightseeing, chatting, and eating! Gotta love a woman who understands the value of Pomme Frites with Garlic Mayo as a dessert option!
I'll be back home Monday night and can't wait to watch the guys new TV appearances. Sounds like ManBand on Tyra was a hoot!
Here's a link to a YouTube clip that includes an interview with JC Chasez and pics of Lance @ Maroon 5's launch party in May. I'd not seen it before so I thought I'd share the link. Is there anyone who can rip it into a downloadable file?
Oh, maybe that is my problem. For all of my fandom-y bookmarks, I have them like "fandom:character/character". Which I did because you couldn't have spaces before. So it's nice that they are…
